I'm gonna do a redesign for Ranamon going forward each time I draw her because it's surprisingly difficult to draw out her whole clothing appearance for me at least. Whenever I get to it and draw it I'll upload it to show everyone.

I also had a good description for this character back on Derpibooru, but to save time again I'll have to shorten it. I like this character a lot and I never got the chance to draw her in the past because of the difficulty behind it and my lack of past talent, but I finally did it just last year.

Those who don't know who this is, this is Ranamon. Don't get the second lettering in her name confused with the yellow fox anthro Digimon, Renamon which is spelled with an 'e' instead of an 'a'.

Ranamon is an aquatic Digimon humanoid who made her first appearance in the 4th generation of Digimon way back in the early 2000s which featured Takuya and several other kids who were actually able to turn into Digimon and fight battles themselves without a Digimon partner present. It was a new approach of the series back at the time that didn't show reliance on Digimon to protect their human partners.

In this generation of Digi-destined from back then Ranamon was a powerful adversary towards the kids and is part of a powerful group of 4 Digimon tasked with hunting each of the Digi-destined down. She was eventually defeated and brought back by the Digi-destined to help them defeat Cherubimon during the show's final battle (in the Digital World no Digimon can truly die since they're just reborn again at their earliest stages in life after they've been defeated). The most notable thing about Ranamon which I love up to this day is her voice acting. It's southern. She'll call anyone "shuguh" as much as possible at any given point during her dialogue.

I don't care what anyone says, I find her original dub both hilarious and oddly fitting so I embraced it. Many people hate it for good reason since it doesn't really match someone like her, but her original english dub will always be the most memorable and funny to me.
