Chapter 6
Explores And Mystery Dungeon's
The flight was going good we passed by the twin moons with ease as we got closer to the settlement called Ramblers Reach a rather small town as I walked the dusty streets I came across a small clinic as a tall Audino and a Clefairy the two starched their arms the two were followed by a Plusle and Minun the four were talking as I came closer ``oh dear she was really hurt just lucky her team got her here so fast she won't loss her hind leg'' the Clefairy says as the Audino nods and holds up a long and very ornate pipe and filled the bowl with a pink looking bud and even sprinkled on some blue looking chips then taped the side of the bowl and a small blue flam appeared and she took a long pull from the pip then passed it to the Clefairy who also took a pull then tamped out the ashes of whatever it was on to the ground as I approached the gathering the Audino spotted me with worried eyes ``oh hello if your here to get fixed up have bad news were very low on medical supplies we just used up the last few Oran Berry's on a fennekin and her Eevee boyfriend'' she says as I hold up my hands ``oh sorry no I'm not looking for healing I'm trying to find someone her name'' I was not able to finish as a fluffy male Eevee came running out of the clinic
``Audrey miss Audrey Amber's awake'' he says ``Elliot is Amber okay?'' came a new voice turning my head I saw a white and pink Vulpix her tails were tied at the end with a blue ribbon and had four blue ear rings two in each ear ``Rune how did?'' Elliot say as the Vulpix came over and hugged him and started to lead him back into the clinic some time later Elliot finished telling us what had happened from what he told us he and Amber were trying to set up a supply route but the Badlands Raiders keep ambushing them two of the supply runners were killed and the other's were taken captive Amber was hurt and so was Elliot the two of them limped back to town my hands were clenched into fists I felt a cool paw on my arm looking to who it was I saw the ice Vulpix Rune I think was her name she looked up at me ``
come with me I need to talk with you'' she says and I follow her out of the clinic after a bit of a walk we ended up at a saloon called ``Wish Shine'' looking down I saw Rune smile up at the name then back up at me ``okay here we are pleas come in we can sit down have a drink maybe something to eat'' she says as the door slips up into the wall and we enter a small hall way lined with hanging rugs depicting some of the legendary fey-kin as we walked a cute chubby light orange and cream colored munchkin cat he..or maybe she had dark orange head fur same for the eyes thick fluffy neck fur he/she looked up at me and smiled ``oh sorry didn't see you was playing a game on my Id-plate he says in a cute almost fem voice as a new cat joins him she looked almost like him a twin maybe this one was the same colors as the first but the head fur had more red in it almost like a flame ``hi sorry did Pumpkin pump into you?'' she says? But her voice had a bit of male to it ``sorry my names Firefly and you already know my sister/brother hehe'' she says as Rune leds the way ``okay you two leave Linkle alone she just got to town from off world too has a really sweet looking ship too'' Rune says and I blink ``I um.....never told you my name Rune'' I say and she looks back at me ``well lets just say I have a little gift'' Pumpkin and Firefly both start laughing ``oh she has wayyyyyy more than just a gift she can see into the future and the past Firefly has lost a few bets with her over the years'' Pumpkin says from my right side as Firefly giggles from my left side each of them had a soft hold on both of my arms as I was led to the door by the three of them as we came around a corner I was meet with the site of a Nidorina guarding the door he saw the four of us coming and stuffed some magazine into a....wait was that a Pouch on his belly I thought Kangaskhan were the only Fey-Kin that had one other then the chansey line
As we approached the Nidorina looked and saw Rune and smiled but then frowned as he saw Pumpkin and Firefly hanging onto me ``well hi Rune good to see you back how are Amber and Elliot doing?'' he asked and Rune filled him in and he nodded ``okay that's good to hear now one more thing who's the new girl and what the hell are those two doing back at the Saloon I thought you banned them `` he says and Rune looks at him ``only for three days Inigo be sides there going to behave them self's from now on otherwise it will be a full on ban'' she says looking at Pumpkin and Firefly who both go pale and Pumpkin was the first to say something ``r..right miss Rune were just here to pick up some food and drink for a party were going to have for our new roommate Willow she's really sweet'' he says and Firefly looks at me and smiles reaching into a pocket and pulled out a glowing card one side was white with a deep purple rune symbol that looked like a butterfly on it and on the other the words Misty Meadows and slips it into my nap sake ``here come and join us tomorrow night were the next valley over would love too see you there Linkle going to be a blast'' she says then kisses me on the cheek after she pulled away my cheek felt warm like I had been sitting next to a camp fire as she walked away she turned to me ``Misty Meadows is just past the landing pads you cant miss the arrows pointing the way'' she says then heads out the door with Pumpkin the duo holding boxes filled with food and drinks
After that Rune led me to a booth and we sat down as Rune flagged down a server that were two cute female Emolga's named Jenny and Michelle Rune ordered some drinks and snacks for the two of us as the twins walked away Rune looked at me ``Linkle.....i know that you want to go after those raiders believe me I do too I want to make them pay for hurting my friends but it would be suicide to try and fight them `` she says and looks at me ``say Linkle when I was coming to the clinic you were saying that you were looking for someone'' she says and I nod ``yeah I was looking for a woman by the name of Jaina she's an elf kind of like me'' I say and Rune nods ``hummmm I don't know a Jaina but I do know of a elf girl who comes to two every two weeks for supplies then goes back into the forest mystery dungeon I think her names Beka'' she says as our food and drinks arrived
Later that night I lay in a comfy bed at an inn close to the bar I had meet the rest of Rune's friends a Shinx who partially evolved into a Luxio named Malachi he was so cute and very friendly asking me all sorts of question's then theirs Rune's girl friend Dielle a Meowth with traces of Zeraora in her blood line a super sweet girl was trying to get me to eat more saying I looked too thin I had to tell her I was just fine then we have Inigo at first glance he looked rather intimidating he was tall for Nidorina well I soon found out was because of his Kangaskhan heritage which also explained the pouch on his belly it really looked cute on him but I kept that to myself and the last member of Team Maelstrom was Eilwyn a Milotic with Luminous colors haft way down the tail
Three day's later I was at the bar talking with Malachi and Rune we had been going on scouting runs trying to figure out a safe supply route when BB on my right shoulder started with rapid fire beeps and whistles turning my head I saw a female Elf standing in the door way she had a long cream colored cloak with the hood pulled up ``BEKA!!!!'' came Dielle's voice as she came bounding over to the elf girl jumping up for a hug as Beka pulled her hood back I was surprised I had seen her before back on the sky island with Lavitz she sees me and come over placing a hand on my shoulder ``you ready to get fixed up Linkle?'' she asked and I node and she smiles ``good and I think I can help with that supply route as well''
Later that day after we all had a good lunch thanks to Dielle and Malachi working there magic in the kitchen to say the food was good would have been an understatement we had some kind of spiced flat bread with seasoned meat I got the recipe from Dielle on how to make the flat bread as we walked into what they call The Jungle Array Mystery Dungeon making our way deep into the dungeon we stopped at what looked to be the remains of an old village the homes in ruins Beka had us set up for a short break as she showed Malachi the safe route on a map and placed a magic rune on the map so it would always show a safe path in the dungeon after a bit Malachi and his team parted ways with me and Beka before leaving I gave them all a hug and promised that I would be back to see them after I got fixed up as we watched them leave It was hard not to feel sad at seeing my new friends fad from site as they turn a corner disappearing from view after a moment Beka reaches out a hand to me ``come on Linkle were not too far away from The Forest Tower'' she says as I get up with help from Beka after a bit more walking we finally mad it
The forest Array tower was massive in size looking like it touched the very top of the sky Beka chuckled beside me ``hehe yeah I know that look I had the same look as you when my brother and I came here for the first time `` she says as we walked up the steps my Sheikah Slate started to beep looking at it some text started to appear on the screen ``yes mistress Beka and master Lavitz were the ones who discovered this place the forest array was a Sheikah research facility for studying the Corvo abyss and the maelstrom'' BB says with my Sheikah slate as we reached the doors Beka reached out and pushed the doors open as we entered I was meet with the site of a tall elf woman looking over a large book and next to her typing away at what looked to be an old sheikah terminal was Lavitz in a simple shirt and pants he stands up at seeing Beka and I ``Beka Linkle nice to see the two of you have finally show up'' Lavit's says as he gets up hands on his hips as Beka does the same looking her slightly taller brother ``I will have you know I was helping the Fey-Kin of Ramblers Reach set up a safe supply line you big jerk'' she says as the two stair each other down then burst out laughing I feel a warm hand on my shoulder as I blink and look up to see the tall elf woman ``come my dear let me have a look'' she says and leads me to a small room and closes the door with a sigh ``oh those two I love them both but they have so much of their fathers fire in them'' she says with a smile then blushes ``oh? Oh dear I forgot to introduces myself my names Jaina Fineret Silverlight and you already know my kids but let me have a look at your magic crest dear'' she says as I slip off my green over coat and was just in my t-shirt as Jaina came closer
After a bit of time Jaina sat back a look of censure but mixed with hope in her eyes ``okay Linkle I think I have a game plane to fix you up'' she says as the lights dimmed and a magical projection appeared next to her of my magic crest one of how it normally looked and one with it damaged ``a you know your magic crest helps you to use magic but of course your own magic circuit and magic lay lines in your soul and body also add you in the use of magic'' she says and I nod ``yeah my mother told me all about how it works and how to keep them open makes it easier to use magic'' I say and Jaina nods ``very good are you sure you're not a full time magus?'' she asks and I nod ``yes I'm sure I was shown and taught a lot about magic from my mom dad and uncle `` I say and Jaina smiles ``well I can see way you do have a lot of potential Linkle'' she says and places a hand on my shoulder ``and because of that I'm going to do all I can to help fix this'' Jaina says and stands as the lights came back up and Beka came in from the door and talked with Jaina then came over to me
Later that day I sat in a large room with a sunken center my clothing had been taken to be cleaned and all I had on was a white silk robe that felt so light it was like I was standing stark naked and Beka had grabbed my cross bows along with my other weapons to be cleaned as well and to give them a once over and she hinted at working on something for me after a few moments Jaina joined me in the room like myself she was clad only in a red silk robe that looked as light as my own as she smiled at me ``my oh my Linkle you look rather cute in that robe looks like it fits you just right'' she says ``t..thanks miss Jaina but did..did I really have to be naked under it?'' I say blushing bright red as I open the top of the robe a bit looking down at my lightly tanned skill under the robe and Jaina nods ``yes you did my dear and also for this its called sky clad'' she says and leads me to a sunken sitting area as we got closer I saw three more young looking elf girls standing there in lavender colored robes and they bow to Jaina and I
After Jaina introduces me to the three elf girls who I found out were homunculi that Jaina and Lavitz had saved from a cure mage who was experimenting on them the three elf's looked me over one with light lavender hair giggled ``hehe wow she's really cute Mistress Jaina who is she'' she says and the others nod ``well Lavender this is Linkle she's from High Rule and I'm going to need you girls help to fix her up''she says as the girls smile and nod as one with fire red hair takes my hand in hers ``come along Linkle just have a seat and we can get you all set oh and my names Ember by the way'' she says and leads me down to the mattress like floor of the sitting area as Lavender sat next to me grabbing pillows and setting them up behind me so I can recline as Jaina joined us ``okay Linkle here is what were going to do to fix you up'' she says after a bit a new elf girl arrived she was in a white robe like me she was carrying an odd looking tall ornate glass like tower her long purple/pink hair was tied back into a long ponytail that reached her very cute butt she set it down next to me and Lavender ``here you go'' she says and joins Jaina as I look at the thing the new girl placed next to me it was tall made of ornate glass and carved metal with some long tube like things coming out from the top I look to Jaina ``um....what's this thing'' I say as a relaxing scent ``that my dear is a hookah and what your smelling is some special herbs that Lavender and her sister Violet grow in there garden `` she says as Violet hands me one of the long tube's and I look to Jaina and she nods moving the tube's mouth piece to my lips and inhaled
The room started to grow a bit fuzzy on the edges of my vision I held in the lung full of the herb smoke for as long as I could before exhaling out a mix of blue purple and pink smoke and Jaina smiles ``good very good Linkle now just take one more big pull and you will be out and we can get to work `` she says I was feeling woozy so Violet held the tube up to my lips and I inhaled again and the world went dark
Blinking my eyes open I stared out to a sea of clouds and...was I floating in the sky looking around yes I was floating and oh come on I was still naked but no robe to cover myself i think before I hear someone whistle turning around I saw Jaina floating in the air like me and she was just as naked as me and oh for Hylia and Arceus sakes way is she so much more busty then me I think as my cheeks blush ``well I have to say Linkle your soulscape is very impressive....oh looks like you have a friend here'' she says I look at her for a heart beat but then I hear a very familiar set of tweets and I turn around ``LOFTY'' I say hugging the large loft wing then I felt him hug me back his strong wings and soft feathers I heard a giggle from Jaina as Lofty and I both blushed moments later we found ourselves on a sky island Jaina and I sitting on a stone bench and I look to her ``so how is it going will...will I be able to use my magic again?'' I ask
The pause felt like it lasted a life time before Jaina spoke again ``yes your magic crest is all fixed but....that's what I wanted to talk to you about'' she says and with a wave of her hand an image appeared in the air before us of my magic crest the shield and wings shining bright as Jaina looks at me ``now Linkle here what I did'' she says and shows how she repaired my crests magic circuit's that were fused shut but thankfully Jaina was able to fix them after all this she then looked at me ``Linkle my dear how much do you know about your family history?'' she asked and I looked at her a quizzical look on my face ``well not much to say my family has lived in Sky Loft for some time I think all the way back to High Rule's founding'' I say then a feeling of sadness came over me ``well my grate Grand Mother Ray would know more about my family but.....she's gone now'' I say as Jaina looks at me ``you know my dear I think you will know some more about your family very soon'' she says and places one hand in the air next to the magic crest and with the other made a sliding motion to the right and my eyes go wide the site before me was it was unreal the site of a new magic crest it was round in shape with short lines drawn in it giving it the look of a stained glass window but the thing that stood out to me was the set of four fox like tails in the middle of the crest the tips of the tails were tied together with a long style ribbon that wound around the tails then melded into the rest of the crest I turn to Jaina ``how...how is this possible?''
Jaina looked at me and smiled ``well my dear have you heard of The Blade Welders?'' she says and a memory came to mind I was little maybe three or four years old I was sitting on great grandma Ray's lap an old looking book lay open before us odd looking text glowed in the candle light ``gram gram what happened next did Terra and Riku save the princess?'' I say with excitement in my voice as Grandma Ray muss's my hair before closeting the book and I see the cover an odd symbol on the cover it looked to be a shield with a key hole in the center with two crossed swords over the shield and just under it ware the words ``My Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key'' my eyes snapped open I was looking up at the cline of a room a gentle hand rested on my head ``easy Linkle your safe now I have to say you are a very intrusting young lady only just discovered your soulscape and already have a good grasp of it'' came Lavitz's voice from my left side as I turn my head I see the tall male Elf sitting in a chair Ardyn Aaron and Adria in his lap three sets of eyes blink open and the next thing I know I have three fluffy Eevee's all over me nuzzling and licking my cheeks telling me how worried they were for me
After a some hugs and reassuring that I was okay that I was healed Lavitz handed me a glass of some kind of blue glowing liquid I look up at him ``what's this?'' I say and Lavitz chuckles ``just a little mana cocktail I made for you to help your mana reserves recover from your little stunt in your soulscape'' he says and I blink ``and what stunt was that?'' I ask and he looks at me ``you don't remember do you?'' he says and I shack my head as Lavitz nods ``I see well you ended up sharing a memory with mother and it was such a strong memory that it almost drained you of all your mana but thankfully mother was able to stop it in time but anyway go ahead and drink up its mixed with some Oren berries for flavor'' he says and I bring the glass to my lips and start to drink but I'm hit with the strong taste of something other than Oren berries as Lavitz smiles and rubs the back of his head ``yeah I kind of added some of my sisters stash of mead to it gives it a bit of a boost'' he says as I finish the drink ``next time a bit of a heads up would be nice'' I say looking at Lavitz but then I smile ``but thankfully I do like mead ever tried Combee mead?'' I say but just then we both hear a yell from down the hall ``LAVITZ!!!!!'' came Beka's voice ``oops looks like she found the missing bottle well mess Linkle I'm going to head out before she finds me'' he says but before he leaves he turns to me and taken my hand in his he kisses it as a warmth rushes to my cheeks ``I hope to talk with you later maybe we can share a glass of my dad's ale anyway by for now'' he says and runs off
The next day I was visited by both Jaina and Beka ``good to see your up and about Linkle how's the pain?'' Jaina asked as I moved my left arm with a bit of a wince ``yeah its good a bit sore'' I say as Jaina looks it over ``yes looks like moving your grandmothers crest was the right move and hows your chest feeling `` I blush a little ``its okay sore as well but I can handle it'' I say and open my robe so Jaina can look at the left side of my chest and nods ``yes it all looks good your great grandmothers magic crest appears to be setting just find `` she says as Beka sets down a tray with some food on it ``okay well if the exam is over I think Linkle can use some food'' Beka was right I was very hungry I dug into the food the eggs tasted so good just a hint of spices as well as the potato's after a bit there was a knock at the door and Jaina went to answer it as a tall elf man stood at the door he had red hair like Beka and Lavitz he had a archer type beard he's eyes were a soft and caring silver blue when my eyes meet his he smiled ``oh so you must be Linkle my daughter and Son have told me a lot about you'' he says and sirs across from me at the small dining table in my room ``okay Linkle lets have a talk''
