While a dragon was exploring a cave, he accidentally stepped on a cluster of fungus, which in turn released a large amount of incapacitating spores. The effect being almost instantaneous, he felled dizzy and fell on the ground, completely unconscious.
Although the effects wouldn't take long to lose effect, he will never have the chance to wake up since a large worm found him before that happens.
