This was the first time in my life I've ever attempted to draw the Mario Brothers so they'll look off since I never did an official first drawing of them yet like I would do with everyone else.

This is a slight re-imagining of the Popple and Birdo boss fight that happens in Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga.

Popple hires Birdo to get revenge and deal with the brothers for getting in his way from the first encounter they have with him. Popple is an easy opponent to deal with during the fight, but Birdo is the one you need to be careful around.

Birdo immediately recognizes Mario and Luigi when she see's them. Popple throws in a few misgendered jokes towards Birdo because he knows that Birdo is really a male (he does it in the game too). Popple orders Birdo to deal with Mario and Luigi.

Give yourself a pat on the shoulder if you can pick up the reference Birdo mentions when she says "Master Betty".

Birdo has a couple vore attacks in the game during the boss fight. One of them involves a method where she tries to suck in one of the brothers in her snout and you have to repeatedly press a button or so to avoid getting sucked in. Failure results in that brother getting sucked in and swallowed whole, leaving the other brother out alone for one turn. During the next turn she fires the devoured brother out as a projectile towards the other one where you have to prepare to counter it, or if I remember correctly she fires that brother out with him trapped inside of an egg. I altered the boss attack with a slight twist. Following orders Birdo gets reasy to fight and ends up just sucking in and swallowing everyone on the field.

Birdo then has an epiphany. This is an actual piece of dialogue she says in the game after you defeat her before she leaves. In the one I made though it's a bad ending for the swallowed victims as they slowly get digested inside of her while she says all of this. In short, Birdo wants to go solo and make a name for herself so she concluded that she'll make a name for herself before coming back. It also explains why she's been absent in several Mario games afterwards. Nintendo is dumb...
