Once long ago, in the cold dark night...
Far away from everything else... One long and lonesome winter night, upon a cliff overlooking a vast void of sea and sky, turned inky black with the twilight. The tips of the rolling waves reflected white in the murk, and formed a canvas of twinkling diamond alongside the stars above...
Lived a family bent upon the world's strife...
And sat below, around one of the glittering stars, were three outcasts...
Shunned... Driven far away, feared for their evil...
And though they were devils in plain sight...
Now they warmed their food around a simple campfire and watched the sea.
Others were gathered around their own fires, in the safety of their own home and hearths... But the trio didn't seem to mind being left aside. If anything, the soft giggle of the youngest was enough to warm even the parts of them that were frozen solid...
The fire of their love cast a long light...
The tallest, arms gently around his wife, closed his eyes... A warm, contented expression spread on his face... And in a moment, stars began to streak across the sky...
The youngest laughed, and clapped eagerly. Her mother pulled her up and embraced her lovingly, sharing in the warmth that all of them felt in that perfect, uncomplicated moment...
And to them, and all, we wish a warm Yuletide...
Unnoticed by the family, except for maybe the Latias, who felt a gentle flutter in her midsection... Snowflakes began to drift down gently around them...
