I know earlier I thought they would end up at the old cabin previously mentioned for setting up for the night. This is also acceptable and would have been how I would have set up with myself on the outside. With her injuries, her body would be starting to work toward healing, so balancing out the cold and keeping warm would be imperative. He, more or less, is going to be subsisting on her body heat and spillover. Might catch a cold but better than outright hypothermia... Some pine branches layered below them are uncomfortable but better than cold ground.
