"Thanks for all your help today Caedyn!  See ya ta-morrow!" *lightning kiss*

*mwah!*

It happened so quickly and without warning.  Caedyn's first-ever kiss from a girl.  And from who else, of course!

Social butterfly Melecia, with her steadily-growing crush on the shy unpopular Caedyn at school, gives him a super-fast little cub-to-cub smooch on his cheek after the day's final class, before she darts away just as fast, walking briskly down the main hall to exit the schoolhouse and be picked up by her stepdad waiting outside in the car.  She had no shame.

But what for?  Well.... earlier that day at school, Caedyn had done some very nice things to go 'above and beyond' and help Melecia with her painting projects in art class, thoughtfully sharing art supplies and ideas, and earlier he had even held the door open for her as she entered at the start of class.  He's always polite to her, because he's just a kind-hearted kid.  He wasn't trying to gain extra affection, he was just being his usual nice-boy self, since Melecia is still his main friend.

She took note of the little things he did.  What a nice little gentlecub!  That is, in contrast to some of the other rowdy, mischievous boys his same age who either just avoid, make fun of, or call the girls gross, and so forth.

After class had cleared out, she showed her appreciation for their friendship with a surprise, fast little kiss!

Caedyn felt like he had shot up to the Moon and back, as he had never been kissed by any girl ever before (well, other than his Mama Squirrel, but that doesn't count).

What the heck just happened !?  He wondered as the room was spinning.

If a teacher or parent had seen that, it would've been big trouble.  If another classmate seen that, it would've been ridicule.  Melecia probably wouldn't have gotten too much ridicule from her gal friends, being the popular one.  But the other boys sure would've laughed and made fun of Caedyn, that's just how it is in school.  He'd never hear the end of it.

School was mostly cleared out by that point with few students and teachers left, though he still hoped nobody saw that.

"Oh my gosh, a GIRL just kissed ME.... I hope 'cooties' aren't real" he reflected, as he rubbed her petite kiss mark off his fuzzy little cheek.

Caedyn wouldn't tell mama and papa.  But perhaps, just maybe, big brother Carsyn would have some advice on what to do next time?  After all, his older bro is way more popular with the girls a few grades above him.

I think Melecia is becoming more than just a friend, he begins to wonder, not being sure how he felt about that....
