Tails is in the picture because Tails is best "girl".
So back in 2021 I wanted to draw summer pics and I needed a character theme. After some deciding from my OCs to Pokemon to MLP I finally went with Sonic characters. Here is the very first summer pic I drew of them. These will feature only the female Sonic characters (excluding Tails) without making them look slutty or in lewd bikinis with the exception of Rouge because Rouge is nothing but lewd.
Hopefully you've seen my Tails pictures in my gallery. He's a kid and the girliest looking character out of all of the males since he's a little fox. Also this was done as the running gag of calling girly guys "best girl" so I wanted to keep that funny tradition going.

Too many people are focused on what they see as it is which leads to a big lack of creativity imo. I decided to go against that because it gets dull and repetitive so yes, I can see why you wouldn't understand why Tails is here. This is how I like to do things without always following a norm. I don't know what you're original reason was for why I added him, but just so you know, Tails has already and always has been drawn as a femboy in dresses, makeup and such by other artist for a very long time now so it wouldn't be surprising to see him in a picture with a cast of girls only. He's girly enough to pull it off.
