The Greyl is a spirit creature of the north, seeking knowledge under the banner of the dark moon. The Greyl offers mortals boons of wisdom, granting expertise in herbalism, engineering, runecrafting, stewardship and intrigue. They then wait patiently for the petitioner to grow in power and knowledge, as if a seed of had been planted; and when it had grown to size, the Greyl comes to reap. He who seeks out the aid of the Greyl pays the price in memories and sensations, depending on the size of the boon, forgetting anywhere from weeks or months, to years of their past.
