Red's time toiling away in her workshop was to build a firearm for her good pal and fellow shorty, Nessy.
In the campaign they shared, Nessy hails from the far-off land of Fucklantis - an alternate universe set in the realm of the video game Terraria. A pinky given sentience by the Queen Slime, Nessy has entered the universe where the campaign was taking place to do her queen's bidding and spread the Hallow where she could. She encountered Red partway through the module (I wasn't feeling my PC at the time and wanted to switch out to something new), and the two became fast friends.
Red helps Nessy nurture the Hallow seeds she plants with her Druidcraft cantrip. The pair have also created a devestating combo attack wherein Nessy grows a size class by Raging, and Red casts Enlarge on her to make her go up one size class further. Suddenly, the two foot slime girl becomes a sixteen-foot behemoth, towering over the tallest members of the party. It's pretty fucking cool.
