Just as the title suggests, this is Magica's first adventure with her new family and friends after marrying Scrooge. Alongside Daisy, Della, Lena, Webby, Gosalyn, and Violet, they explored and excavated underwater ruins with the intent of donating all the recovered items to a museum (although Scrooge obviously has other things in mind).
Oh it's Daisy! All this time I was trying to figure out who was next to Lena and I just kept hitting a black wall.
Also, I just realized that Magica has the most human-like proportions of any of the characters in this picture. It's kind of hilarious.
Violet and Gosalyn are definitely just there to hang out and cuddle. I shudder to think what would happen if Gos ever learned how to use a speargun. No sea monster will be safe.
Lena looks mad at that wall for some reason. Maybe it reminds her of an ex who cheated on her when she was traveling around. I can just imagine Webby pinning the idiot to the wall with just a fork while Lena whales on him for a minute or two before tossing his unconscious body into a trash bin. Considering what Lena could have done he got off easy. Of course, it's also likely that Webby is Lena's first love so there's probably another explanation. Mine's still funnier though.

And yeah that's a good "funny" explanation. Although in reality she's just mad because the rock and minerals she's trying to mine proved more durable than she expected (her pickaxe isn't doing much to mine them free).

Maybe she should have a pink bow or something on her hips as part of the suit's design? Otherwise, it's hard to tell whether or not it's her especially in such a large group of characters.
What is Daisy doing there anyway? Unless you made her an investigative reporter I don't think she would have much to contribute in terms of skills or talent. If she's just there to hang out with her friend Della then I can sort of understand but...
Also, someone please give Lena a drill or let her use her magic beams or something. The poor girl is going to break her arms if she keeps doing that. No one wants to deal with an angry Webby.

And that was actually kinda the idea. She'd quit her other job to do something more exciting after all the stuff with F.O.W.L. went down, so she's a bit of an investigative reporter like you mentioned. But she was able to get in on this up close and personal because of her relationship with Donald, who "pulled some strings" so to speak. But yeah, getting to be there with Della was also a reason, but only a secondary benefit of being there because of her new job.
And yeah, poor Lena. I guess Magica and Scrooge said no magic on the adventure unless necessary.
