Chapter 6: Aiding A Scared Merbadger
One weekend, in the cave, Sally changed out of a white tanktop and jean shorts she wore to the beach, revealing her seashell top and bikini bottoms, as she was about to head back to Acorn Coral to visit her dad and tell him about what she and Cream had learned about the surface. Jeremy was with her, as he wanted to make sure no one knew of his friend's true form.
"Are you ready, Sally," Jeremy asked.
"I am. Thanks for coming to wait for me," Sally said as she went into the water in the hole, as she transformed into a mersquirrel. Soon, Sally began her swim back to Acorn Coral when suddenly, she saw a merbadger being menaced by an octopus.
"Let me go, you eight-armed freak," the merbadger said. Sally, feeling she needed to help, swam quickly and grabbed the merbadger before she was grabbed, as the two got to a safe distance.
"Are you okay? You should know better than to go and intrude on an octopus in his own garden," Sally said, when Sticks saw Sally's seashell necklace and looked at it.
"Ooh, pretty necklace," the badger said.
"Okay, that seashell necklace is what allows me to become a land squirrel," Sally said.
"A land squirrel? Oh, I get it. This is one of the magic necklaces that the sea witch Ebony made," Sticks said.
"Ebony," Sally asked. Later, at the palace, Sally gave her report to her father, and later, as she swam back, Stick would tell her about Ebony.
"Ebony was a mercat who was interested in the world of the land Mobians, so she made a special seashell magic with magic that would allow her to become a land cat and explore. However, an evil sea witch threatened to steal that necklace so she can conquer both land and sea. So, to combat her, she made the blue necklace and gave it to a mersquirrel princess," Sticks said.
"My mother, Queen Maya," Sally said.
"Indeed, she perished stopping her, but as she became sea foam, the blue necklace would end up splitting into necklaces of various colors. Ebony found the blue necklace and would give it to you, Sally, as a reminder of your mother,' Sticks said.
Later, Sally returns to the surface and turns back into a land squirrel. Seeing Jeremy asleep, she kneels down and nudges him, waking him up.
"Sally, you're back," Jeremy said.
"Told you I was," Sally said. Later, as Sally got into her clothes, she told Jeremy about what Sticks told her.
"So, that means there are more of these seashell necklaces than the ones you and Cream has," Jeremy asked.
"Yes, and somehow, they will be found by others like me," Sally said when the two heard a shreik, as they came out to see a female mongoose wearing a purple seashell top and bikini bottoms. Her long, purple hair was drooping from being wet, and her green eyes are in a panic.
"Where is my tail? My beautiful purple mermongoose tail," the girl said, as the two found out she is wearing a purple seashell necklace.
