I held these ones in reserve until there was one I didn't hate.
That one ended up being the kobold.
These are in order of how good I think they are, not chronological.
1: Kobold. Everything that looks like it might be sharp is sharp. They usually don't wear clothes as a result. Their surprisingly powerful legs allow them to move very rapidly for their diminutive size and jump great distances, while their claws and talon-like feet allow them to climb and cling to unlikely surfaces. Their sharp spinal ridge hinders attempts to grab them or attack from behind, while their head covered in horns makes for a decent improvised weapon. They are fragile, though their skin is tough enough to not be accidentally cut up by cuddling with their compatriots in the nightly heat-sharing pile.
2: Cockatrice, eh? I think I will change them to have bat wings. They have paralytic breath, not gaze. Showing them a mirror triggers infighting between the heads.
3: I spent hours trying to draw dragon heads and this is all I have to show for it
4: No. I was trying to make a rendition of goblins with beaklike noses, bald heads, and terrible facial hair, but once I actually did that, I realize, uh, no.
