Evangelion was such a strange anime, it was simeltaniously the most realisitic, and least realisitic mecha anime i've ever seen, it starts out 'very' realistic, with the sort of real world limitations and such you would actualy expect a building sized machine of that level of complexity to have........then things take a hard right into crazytown and never look back

welcome to being a manga/anime author whos series achieves any sort of popularity toriyama (the guy behind dragonball) wanted to stop 'years' ago, but the one time he TRIED to step aside and let someone else handle things, GT happened....soooo yeah, he can either let someone who doesn't understand his characters and formula butcher it again, or spend the rest of his life drawing characters screaming and coming up with new forms every few story arcs.... edit: if you dont get the point im making its that manga/anime writers have a shitty lot cause either nobody appreciates their work and they become depressed, or people like it TOO MUCH and they are forced to churn out more and more and so they are stressed out and depresed...
