Sonic lay unconscious in the vast expanse of an open field where a passing resistances group found him by chance. When he awoke in the clinic, the stark realization hit him - he had been left alone from his captor that he relied to heavily on.

After leaving the rescue team on the Death Egg, Shadow quickly warped back to the Resistance's last stronghold to check on Sonic. The clinic's walls echoed with Sonic's cries, pleading to be taken back to the infintie who he had grown too attached to.

(I know I've been popping these out left and right, but i've been ignoring some work I need to get back to now xD I'll try to finish Part B before the year ends though!!)

This Story will lead to an Unhappy ending

Poor Sonic, he doesn't know who to trust anymore. It's going to be even harder for Shadow. Thank you for sharing this moment with us, take your time to finish it. 😃

Yes! This makes absolute sense. This is exactly the most reasonable response and just how I pictured it would go.

I think the best course for Shadow in helping Sonic would be to keep a constant presence around him. Don't run off in shame or guilt for not saving him sooner. That won't help. Stay with him at all times; first to prove that he is real and not an illusion, and second to prove that he did not abandon Sonic. There is so much to do in healing, fixing and deprograming Sonic.

Боже, Соник... он абсолютно сломлен. Впрочем, после всего, что только пришлось ему пережить за это время, это не удивительно. Я даже представить боюсь, как он будет восстанавливаться, собирать себя по кусочкам, по крупицам! И очень надеюсь, что Шэдоу не оставит его, и друзья тоже, что все будут помогать ему, и в итоге он придёт в себя и сможет пойти дальше. Спасибо за это великолепие и ждём следующую часть!

Oh, you are the best of the best!!! I've been dying to see their reunion and this is exactly how I imagined it'd go down! The moment Shadow heard Sonic had been found, he'd warp there in a heartbeat no matter if he was in another universe!!!

And your take on our poor little guy's situation is 100% spot on!

Sonic had become so dependent on Finny, thirsting for attention whether it be kind or cruel, that being separated from him would be incredibly stressful.
Then, after spending months sleeping on a prison floor, sleeping in an actual bed would be strange to him. The emotional scarring is going to take a lot more time to heal than the physical ones, and the fact that being "abandoned" was the straw that broke the camel's back is going to make it harder for him to trust those around him. The last thing he needs is to be alone.

I am extremely curious as to why jackal boy just dumped him in a field after keeping him all to himself for what, 38 days?
Did he grow tired of his chew toy? Was taking care of Sonic too much of a hassle?
Oh! I noticed his face looks a bit flushed on the last 3 pages. Is it from crying or is he sick and Finny decided he needed actual medical care?

Yes! what is bed? sonic only knows the comfort of the cold hard floor and darkness hehehe and he was crying, lil red face.

As for why finny do the things he do, will all come soon!

I've been trying to read Finny's mind, I'm probably way off, but let's give it a go.

Okay, so he knew he had Sonic wrapped around his sharp-ass pinky and spent the extra time reinforcing that.
My theory= Did he ditch Sonic so they could find him, but he intends to reclaim him later so it'd be an extra jab at Shadow? Like, "Your boy is mine now. MWAHAHAHA."

You don't have to say if I'm close or not, but if I am, send a psychic nod into the universe. ;)

I'm also curious is this going to have a happy ending or sad ending, or would you be willing to do both? Kinda like "here's the canon to the story, but here's an alternate". ^_^
