I think over the years, I explained this poorly, so allow me to provide some context. So, when I updated Panty, I got some confusion about the "ponytail version" as people thought that I was abandoning it or they thought that was his default. Actually, sense Panty's was created, I established that she wear's wigs. This drawing was one of the first during my time designing this characters. This is still a part of her character even with the new colors and changes. Panty's natural hair short and brown. She's always dyed it pink (in the new version, I guess it's more purple now). The wigs was a edition that started as a way for me to draw her with longer hair when i feel like it, but by accident it developed into a sort of relatable realistic trait of hers. Not many in reality can always grow their hair long enough, and that kind of translates well. In the future, the ponytail wig is definitely coming back. If anything, now it has a bit of lore of it's own. |
