Hiromi Itzukara, now as an adult, has become a Lab Tech at Tokyo's Medical research university after getting her degree in Biology and Medical Studies. Not exactly a doctor, she does research on various samples set to her by various hospitals for testing and disease diagnosis. One unfortunate but necessary aspect of her job is testing various samples on Lab Rats. These poor creatures are easily stressed and become susceptible to various illnesses due to that stress. Thus one thing she does is to keep the rats at ease in order to get the optimal results. Thanks to their part in the work of diagnosis, treatment and cure, any diseases have been eliminated and cures have been found.
Now as an adult, she sees Fernando G. whenever he is in Tokyo along with her other friends from Minorigaoka High School who have graduated and gone to their varied careers. Naomi Hoshokara and Sakura Mitzumata have become teachers at Minorigaoka Elementary, Kitsume Kiedo runs her own Internet Security Company, Chieko Sato runs several "World Cuisine" Restaurants, and Naru Ashimota is a Historical Archive Librarian at Tokyo's Museum of History.
Through him they discovered that the future is the past and the past is now.
