Katie walked up to Joey's house, approaching the front door. She had received a few texts inviting her over for valentines, letting her know the door was open for her to walk on in. She opened the door and found a path of rose petals leading from the doorway to a hallway around the corner.
"Really Joey?" She asked herself chuckling some. already catching on to what her boyfriend was up to. "All right, let's see what you got up your sleeve" she commented following the trail.
The trail led down the hallway to the very end to where the door to Joey's room was located. Katie followed it and opened the door to find a candlelit room. She saw Joey trying his best to pose sexy on his bed that was covered in rose petals. Looking him over, she saw he was clad in just cupid's diaper, holding a rose in his mouth, while lifting his eyebrows, giving off a sexy growl upon seeing her. Katie couldn't help herself as she started to laugh, causing her boyfriend to drop the rose from his mouth.
"Okay.... not the reaction I was going for" Joey replied sitting up in his bed
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry" She replied in between laughs "But you have to admit, this is really cliche" She added
"Well...true, but I thought it would be cute in its own way" Joey replied
"Well it is cute, I'll give you that" she replied walking on up and sitting down next to him. "So is this all you had planned?" she asked stroking his chest fur
"Certainly not" Joey replied, blushing some as he wagged his tail happily, feeling her stroking him.
"What else did you have planned for today? A big heart shaped box of chocolates?" she asked
"Ummm... no not exactly" he replied reaching over and began to softly stroke her hair "I mean it is chocolate, but not a heart shaped box, I might be cliche with some things but not THAT cliche" Joey replied
"Oh? So what kind of chocolate did you get me then?" She asked laying her head on his shoulder
"Well umm I looked up some stuff online and decided to try and bake something" Joey replied giving her a gentle nose nuzzle
"Tried your hand at cooking again? Or is it like our first date when you ordered out?" Katie asked with a chuckle
"Umm no, this time I didn't burn things, I actually got it right this time" Joey replied blushing upon recalling that incident
"Oh? Care to show me then? I'd love to see what you made" she replied, smiling at him happily
Joey nodded his head, "Yeah, follow me,it's in the kitchen" Joey replied getting up
Katie smiled and stood up as well, giving his cloth diaper a pat on the back. "Not gonna lose your undies on the way there are you?" Katie asked with giggle
"Umm... no... I practiced with tying up the cloth diaper this time" Joey replied
"Awww, so your girlfriend doesn't get to see accidental otter booty then?" She asked
Joey just blushed bright red through his fur unable to answer her and quickly changed the subject, "Umm so yeah, I worked really hard on the treat I made for you, really hope it turned out right"
Katie just giggled, hearing him dodge the question, "So what exactly did you make?" she asked
"A chocolate heart" Joey replied
"A chocolate heart?" Katie asked curiously
"Yes, a big chocolate heart that has a surprise gift inside" Joey added
"Oh really now? Sounds like it had to of been hard to make" Katie commented
"Kinda, I sorta burned the first batch of chocolate, and almost burnt my finger on the stove when trying to make the second batch" Joey replied some rubbing the back of his head
"Oh my" Katie replied as they walked into the kitchen together
"Yeah but it was worth it, it was kinda fun actually" Joey replied walking to a white box covered in red hearts "It's in this box" He replied patting the top of it
Katie walked up and lifted the lid of the box and peered inside seeing a large chocolate heart inside, wrapped in a red ribbon.
"And you said you made this yourself?" Katie asked picking it up out of the box
"YUP! All for you!" Joey replied smiling cheerfully
She smiled and broke off a piece and handed it to Joey. "Well if its my gift, thenI'm choosing to share it with my sweetheart otter" she replies giving him a kiss on the nose
Joey smiled happily accepting the piece of chocolate and kissed her back on the nose lovingly. Katie smiled and broke off another piece getting to the hollow interior and saw the gifts inside. She pulled out a small valentines card and a gold necklace.
"Aww, what a thoughtful boyfriend you are," she replied, putting on the necklace before looking at the card.
The card was small with an image of an otter hugging another otter, with some text reading 'You're my significant otter'.
"This pun is really cheesy you know that right?" she asked with a smile
"I uhhh.... couldn't find anything that wasn't cheesy to fit inside the heart" Joey replied with a nervous chuckle
"I don't mind at all" she replies giving him a big loving hug
Joey hugged her back tightly and cuddled into her softly.
"So got anything else planned?" Katie asked
"Oh umm, well we could keep up with the cheesiness and watch some cheesy romantic movie to riff on" Joey suggested
"Sounds like it could be fun" Katie replied with a chuckle
They walked to the living room and sat down on the sofa together, planning to watch a movie before Katie chimed in.
"So tell me, what was with that sexy pose you were doing earlier?" she asked curiously
"Oh umm....I guess I was going for a, draw me like one of your french otters sort of pose" Joey replied blushing
"Oh? were you hoping i would draw you?" she asked
"Well I uhh I mean that wasn't what I was planning on" Joey began to explain before Katie got an idea
"Actually that sounds like it could be fun, why don't we draw each other in a sexy pose?" Katie asked
"Wha? What?" Joey asked as his brain was trying to register what she asked, "I uhh, I'm not that good at drawing, I don't think I could draw you too well" Joey admitted looking down at the ground
"Try" Katie simply replied
"But, I have tried in the past, but" Joey began to explain again before being interrupted
"Try" Katie once again replied
"Really, I can't draw"Joey tried to state
"Just. Try" Katie replied as she got up to go get something
Joey just sat there waiting feeling nervous about this as his heart began to race. Joey wasn't too thrilled about trying to draw his girlfriend, given he could barely draw stick figures that well and had no idea how he was going to pull this off before seeing her return with a pair of pencils and a couple of sketch pads. She walked on up and handed a sketch pad and pencil to Joey as she laid down on the floor giving him the same sexy pose he gave her.
"Go ahead big boy, draw me like one of your french otters" She replied jokingly, keeping still for him to draw
Joey held the pencil and pad in his hands muttering a curse under his breath, knowing how bad it was going to look. The otter took a deep breath and began to do his best to sketch his girlfriend, having no idea what he was doing. He started with the head, hoping that would be easy but found harder than he first thought, unable to angle the facial features correctly, or even draw them properly, The eyes were uneven and irregularly shaped, and the nose looked goofy as can be. Joey winced and cringed at his sketch so far wanting to curl up into a ball, but continued on drawing the hair and ears, before moving onto the rest of her. By the time it was done, Joey glanced at the drawing setting the pencil down seeing the mess of wiggly lines and shapes as it didn't even look like his girlfriend or even remotely close to an otter for that matter.
"All done?" Katie asked getting up
"Umm.... I uhh... no, it's no good, it looks bad" Joey replied clutching the sketch against his chest not wanting her to see.
"Let me see how it looks silly boy" she replies reaching for it
"No need, its really bad, this wasn't a good idea" Joey replied trying to get out of showing it to her but was soon caught by surprise as she yoinked it out of his hands and looked it over
Joey let out a pained whine as he laid down on the sofa, starting to curl up feeling so embarrassed over his drawing.
"Awww, I love it!" Katie replied
"I know it's really ba...wait what!? Joey asked as he bolted upright, trying to clean out his ears not sure if he heard her right
"I love it!" She repeated beaming a happy smile
"Wait wha? How?" Joey asked confused
Katie walked on up and flicked a finger against his forehead, "Silly boy, I don't care how it looks, what matters is that it was drawn by you and you did your best. That's what makes it so special, it doesn't have to look like it was done by some professional, just that you did your best" She replied kissing him on the lips
Joey sat there speechless feeling like a weight was lifted off his chest but couldn't figure out what to reply with.
"Okay, time for you to pose sexy again so I can draw you" Katie instructed
Joey shook his head, snapping him out of his trance and looked back at his girlfriend, realizing what she said. He just laid down on the couch and did his best pose for her. She sat down on the floor cross legged, and went to work on the sketch, scribbling away on the pad. Joey laid there keeping still as all that could be heard was the scratching of the pencil tip against the paper. Some time had passed as Joey was about to doze off before being snapped out of his dozing off.
"DONE!" Katie exclaimed excitedly
Joey sat up and looked at her as she flipped the pad around for him to see. Looking at it, he could see it was a much better drawing than what he made, seeing the lines more straight, and having a lot better detail to it.
"What do you think?" Katie asked swishing her tail
"It's really good," Joey replied "Have you drawn before?"
"Well I do draw up my own designs and blueprints so yes" Katie replied handing him the sketch
Joey took the sketch and smiled happily before he was pounced on by his girlfriend. She snuggled with him on the couch and planted a loving kiss on his lips and wrapped her arms around him.
"Happy valentines day" She replied laying her head on him
"Happy valentines day to you too" Joey replied holding her tightly
