What if Dipper and Pacifica were siblings, separated as kids for several years, but then put back together when the events of Gravity Falls happens? It is an AU me and Violet have been working on for the past week. Mabel is still in this universe but is now a wild child sister of Wendy, quite fittingly.
Okay, I absolutely love this. I already loved how all the characters interacted in the show; but to see them split, spliced, and paired together like this is amazing. I also like how the AU managed to still incorporate Mabel in a way that makes sense for her character and personality, and that could lead to some fun art/story ideas between dipper and the three. I already love this idea, and I cannot wait for more.

Honestly, I could see something like this being in the show, if some of the later storyline went with a slightly different vibe. Say something like : After a really bad fight between the twins, somehow Dipper and Mabel's consciousnesses end up adrift in the multiverse as they experience various parallels of themselves, each finding one that they love, that seems perfect, but they slowly realize they miss being where they really belong, and are only able to return to their own reality after actively seeking help from their alternate non-twin twin.
