The island natives arrived at where their spear-point captive, Usagi Tsukino, had allegedly heard her daughter only to find little trace of anybody in the clearing. The meatball headed mother, wrist-bound in her lingerie, insisted that she had been right here in her growing anxieties. While she didn't want Chibiusa found for whatever the natives had in mind for them, the idea of her little one being lost in the dangers of the untamed wild wasn't an pleasant alternative.
It was perhaps a small mercy that the islanders granted Usagi when scoping out the clearing for hiding spots. They recognized the groves in the grass that the outsider didn't. Long and smooth however much they twisted. Signs that followed after one of their own had been claimed by the Jungle. One man found a pair of white panties with pink frills out of Usagi's sight and narrowed his eyes sollemnly if out of pity.
The Jungle was most unforgiving today.

Most animals were wise enough to stay out of the green python's way even when it's belly was full. However, many from monkeys to wolves saw the bulge that formed tightly around its meal and recognized it as a human. A young human at that. They couldn't help but see how the prey's face was outlined with wide eyes and a wider mouth. As if trying to make a cry for help that wouldn't leave its through.
It even wriggled however feebly to show that it was still alive. Even wild animals felt some amount of sadness. Humans were known to be easy pickings by predators but eating a human cub was cruelty personified. Whoever's cub had the misfortune of crossing into the Jungle, be it by choice or by accident, had the wild's utmost sympathy but understood that the Jungle's only law was survival. Nobody was exempt from a cruel fate. No matter the age.

Chibiusa couldn't see.
Chibiusa couldn't move.
Chibiusa couldn't even speak.
The innards of the python weren't nearly as bad as the choking coil. They were far worse. The slimy flesh within coated Chibiusa's skin and made her cringe as the muscles pulled her along. She would've shuddered but the tight tunnel formed perfectly around her with the tightness of rubber hose. It especially pressed against her face and smooshed her cheeks like the hands of a very big grandmother, leaving her unable to even close her mouth from tasting the slime.
Chibiusa continued to cry for her "Mama" despite her mouth being unable to fully close. Her mind still bargined that her parents were out there looking for her and might've escaped the native to seek her out. If they came across the python and saw the bulge, then perhaps her strong Papa would slice out the snake's stomach in an instant. Perhaps her Mama would pull her out and embrace her in a big hug that would promise her that everything was going to be alright.
Perhaps ignorance was bliss after all.
Chibiusa had always cut science and biology lessons, never learning about the digestive system. As far as she was concerned, the python had strangled her before putting her inside of it for the taste. Nothing else. A young girl her age could never be so conscious about her own mortality. Of course, knowing might've let her be at peace with herself.
Chibiusa would not be afforded a swift and painless end. It was long, lingering and hurt right up to the bitterest end. Stomach acids would sear her skin as small pin-pricks scattered across her body. Soon they burned hotter and hotter by the second, melting her outside like ice cream left in the sun. She's wriggle by reflex and in desperation however little she could but alas. Her hair burned up the fastest.
So much pain. So little ability to scream about it. Without anyway to tell the time in the belly of the beast, what was a slow digestion of half a day stretched out to what might as well have been a century of pure suffering. Chibiusa's final thoughts were a panicky mess of pleas for help from whatever higher power might grant her deliverance from this immense pain and a constant string of "Why"s.
Why did her parents take her from her home?
Why did these islander take them prisoner?
Why did her mother push her into the jungle?
Why did this snake have to catch and choke her?
Why did this snake have to eat her?
Why did it hurt so much?
Why?
Why?
Wh-?

The only proof that a young Japanese girl named Chibiusa Tsukino even existed was little more than a pair of saliva coated panties in the middle of the dense island jungle in the middle of the Pacific. Friends she'd know in Tokyo would wonder why she suddenly stopped coming to school or to see them. Nobody would locate her parents' boat or their whereabouts.
It was as if Chibiusa simply ceased to be.
