Thankfully, it was found that certain individuals possessed magic, and not just any magic... fertility magic. Using magically based wombs in men led to better pregnancies and stable development.
Now, in the current era, the Guild is thriving. Whenever a couple wants to become parents, a mage is sent from the guild to test the couple to see which is more capable of bearing him. These men are impossible to mistake, with their bright green eyes and periwinkle outfits lined in metallic edges and sparkling with gems that leave their bellies bare.
Fertility mages also offer to bear children for single guys, but it's more likely that their child will become a fertility mage himself, as the magic passed on is very potent.
A magic womb is designated by a glowing mark on the belly, which is why the mages are required to wear such uniforms so pregnancies of their own can't be hidden.
