This is the last page of Children of Maeria Chapter 2. Next week, I'll be posting my side comic. Zyn: Child of Maeria is already fully drawn and will be released weekly while I work on Chapter 3 of Children of Maeria. Hopefully the pages will keep coming!
Pg 60
Panel 1: Four riders and synth ponies of various colors are galloping down the city streets of Sunnyside. The riders are dressed in black with metal dragoon helmets on their heads. There are two passengers riding with two of the riders, Lucian and Luna the owls.
Caption: The Gendarmes arrive…
Panel 2: Close up of the two riders on the side. The black uniformed riders are the Gendarmes implied by the caption on panel 1. They have steel colored helmets with crests that have black hair descending from the top of the crest. Their uniform is black with silver buttons. Collars and crests are yellow (for Sunnyside). The Gendarmes also wear black masks with white pupils (for intimidation purposes as it’s hard for babies to be intimidating, typically). One Gendarme, a fierce looking black dragon hatchling with sharp tan horns has silver epaulets. The other rider is a cute rat with gray fur, tan ears, and a pink nose.
Lucian the blue owl is riding behind the black dragon, and Luna is riding behind the rat. All the characters are looking up at the sky. The owl siblings look upset.
Lucian: We’re too late!
Panel 3: (Wide Panel) in the foreground (blurred out) the four characters are watching as the Tsar Feliks flies towards them and over their heads with a SHOOOM! The buildings are drawn in a fish-eyed lens.
Panel 4: The rat is leaning forward and talking to his commander who is looking back at him coldly. Lucian is leaning back and looking at Luna. Luna is looking up at the sky. Behind them is the airship, flying over the rooftops.
Rat: Sir! The Duchess believes this is a targeted attack on her interests. We can’t let that airship get away!
Panel 5: A close up of the black dragon hatchling in front of a creepy green background.
Captain: We follow it for as long as we can. Get on comms and coordinate with all of Playground if you have to. That airship MUST be taken!
Rat (off-screen): Yes Captain Ashe!
