Proof that all the way back then, I was already thinking of his new form that would later be known as, Kami Kurama.
One thing I knew I wanted to change was the fact that he had no hair. Really irked me. When creating the second series. I spoke to the artist about his redesign and giving him hair. My first thought was Super Saiyan 3 like, as a nod to the show. For fun, he mocked out this. It was a joke, but I did kinda like it, in a strange way.

Also!
Another fun fact: he never drew the tail markings correctly! And he doesn't know that either. XD I only realised years later when I was seeing previews of part 3. It was wrong because the artist was using the image series as a ref. XD I was distracted by other things on those images to notice... ^^;
The black lines are supposed to be in the 'centre' of the tails. The tails are supposed to be flames and the black lines are supposed to be like the tailbones.
