no.8: Crawling Monster - The Creeping Terror

Sometimes, you just have to respect the classics... even when the classics are a steaming pile of shit! Another made infamous from the vaults of MST3K, the Creeping Terror is probably my earliest memory of the show along with Pod People. From there it would grow to be one of my favorite shows ever made and I've included many a shout-out to it throughout the years in these countdowns. It's only natural, a series that took the piss out of awful movies, most of the being B-horror flicks and despite how bad they are there's still an undeniably delightful air to their cheese. These things define early horror, for better or for worse and while I appreciate a good, old film deserving of the title of 'classic', I'll never turn down the chance to laugh at some awful schlock. It's the duality of Halloween, the trick with the treat and I wouldn't have it any other way.
