Joey was waiting around in Katie's lab, as she suddenly got called away for something, she had warned him to not to touch any of the devices around her lab since most were either unfinished or not working properly. Joey had been sitting in a lone chair as he whistled idly wondering how long it would be, as time just ticked on by slowly as he constantly looked over a clock hanging on the wall.
"Sure is taking a while, hope it's not serious" Joey commented to himself
The otter got up and began to walk around a little bit to stretch his legs some. He began to walk around and look at the various projects Katie had been working on, wondering what they all did, noticing a changing table, pieces of what looked like an animatronic, vehicle parts, items that only could be described as prototype devices of little wrist communicator Katie made for him, as well as various other machines covered up in tarp. Joey did his best to not touch anything but, curiosity got the better of him as he decided to walk up to one of the covered up devices, and lifted the tarp, seeing a odd looking machine that he could not make heads or tails out of. Looking it over it was a large machine adorned with several unlit bulbs, an old looking computer monitor, a dusty keypad, and a conveyor belt of sorts, Joey couldn't figure out what the machine was for, but what caught his eye, was a large shiny red button.
"If this were a cartoon or a made up story, I would've pressed that button by now" Joey replied walking away from it and covered up the machine to go back to his seat to wait for Katie
As the otter sat there, he kept looking back at the covered up machine, as his mind kept focusing on the shiny red button, as he tried to ignore it.
"Come on, don't push the strange button, that's how things go south in cartoons, eve though this isn't a cartoon...and certainly it couldn't have power....what am I thinking? Just leave it alone" Joey replied to himself as he kept glancing at the clock
It was taking such a long time, causing Joey's boredom to set in, making his mind wander even more back to the button. The shiney red color was so tempting, I mean, if it wasn't meant to be pushed, then why would they make it so tempting?
"What's the worst that could happen?" Joey thought to himself as he got up once more
Walking back to the device, Joey once again uncovered the machine and stared at the button as he held out a finger to push it, hesitating for moment. With a gulp, he quickly pushed the button with his finger and waited to see what would happen before seeing that the machine was still lifeless.
"Well.... that's both disappointing and a relief, least I got that out of my..... AUGH!" Joey yelled out being grabbed by a robotic arm
Joey struggled as a large pink pacifier was strapped on into his mouth keeping him silent as he was pulled onto the conveyor belt and was carried into the darkness of the machine. The machine clanged and banged and whirred making beeping noises as lights flashed all about before coming to silent stop after sending the otter out the other end. Joey looked around being freed from the darkness only to find him trapped in plastic casing, wearing a very thick pink diaper as his arms and legs were bound up by twist ties leaving him helplessly trapped in whatever he was stuck inside of.
"What is that noise!?" Katie asked out as she ran back into her lab with a few of the other girls
Joey looked over at Katie who just sighed and held her head in her paws while the other girls could only giggle in laughter at what they were looking at.
"This is why I said not to touch anything, i was only gone for fifteen minutes, how did you get into this much trouble?" Katie asked as she dug around in her toolbox
"Why on earth did you ever invent such a device?" Nina asked confused
"Yeah I don't think I understand why such a thing would ever be needed" A tall lioness commented
"I was bored, and thought it would be a good idea to make a machine that can repackage collectable toys" Katie began to answer
"So then why did it do this?" Nina asked trying to make sense of this
Katie just sighed a bit as she grabbed a strong pair of scissors, "Well I started the planning for it, and as I did, I began getting tired and accidently started adding in parts from other designs like the changing table, and of course, being the busy little otter I am, I didn't realize what it was I was actually building, till I had finished it. I have been meaning to take it apart, but I forgot about it" she explained
"For the princess of perception, that certainly wasn't very perceptive of you" A panthress teased some
"Oh hush, I could turn it on again to let you see how it works" Katie replied crossing her arms
"No thanks" the panthress replied
"That's what I thought" Katie replied as she began to cut away at the plastic around Joey
"OOOH! New dolly!" A small white kitten replied excitedly
"New dolly? What did she mean by that?" Joey thought to himself
Outside of the plastic case was cardboard backing that read, Joey otter doll, they really wet *clothing and accessories not included. Riola could only grin thinking she was getting a new toy as Joey could only watch as he really regretted drinking all that soda before coming over to visit, as he was unable to cross his legs.
Perhaps not my longest or best story writing, but this was an unintentional commission, what I mean by that is, this was an auction YCH, and I made a starting bid initially, but got outbid soon after. At the end of the auction, I was noted that I had won, and found out the previous bidder backed out of the auction so I had won unintentionally. Make no mistake, I still love how it turned out, but at the same time I wasn't planning on winning once I began to find myself unable to think of a story at the time. The final piece is a bit bare bones because i didn't have enough spare change to get the higher tier rewards of extra accessories and outfits, it would of been too expensive for me at that time, regardless I am still happy with how it turned out and I don't regret winning it, but I do regret not having enough extra spending money to give it a bit more to look at.
