Somewhat of a revisit to a character I designed ages ago when I was... thirteen or fourteen? I drew a reference for her at the time, but in my redraw I decided experimentally to change some things, like the tail type, some more fins, making the teeth more aquatic, kinda thing. Cool though and a fun chance for me to try some underwater effects and fish scale texture.
The original character design was inspired by a friend of mine back on DeviantART who went by the username "Masterofwolves99" who both drew and commissioned art of his merwolf. I thought it was so cool that I wanted to make my own feral variant. I ended up making a different merwolf after that called "Kerupie" based on the idea of a kelpie (very original name I know, but I was 13-14 haha) that I drew together with Masterofwolves99's fursona named Moonshadow. Which... I found out as I am typing this... that he still exists under that exact username!! I will have to say hi!
