It was a picture perfect day at the beach, far away from the hustle and bustle of Canterlot High. It’s everything Sunset Shimmer and Fluttershy dreamed of and more. The two ladies, already wearing their swimsuits (Sunset in her black two-piece bikini and Fluttershy wearing a one-piece purple swimsuit), were relaxing in their lounge chairs underneath the umbrellas, listening to the calm waves in the distance.
“Isn’t this great, Fluttershy? Nobody else is around for several yards… especially not any other students from Canterlot.” Sunset said.
“Oh, yes. And the waves are as calm as can be. It really is picture perfect. The others surely must be jealous.” Fluttershy said.
“Well… provided they would even notice. You saw they all had pretty busy plans for the weekend.” Sunset said.
“Especially Twilight, teehee!” Fluttershy said.
“Heh heh… you would think she was about to discover splitting an atom as excited as she was for her most recent experiment. While I admire her excitement, I wasn’t about to hang out with that much brainpower.” Sunset said, prompting both girls to laugh.
“Oh! And the boys too.” Fluttershy said.
“Er… I’m not sure Flash should be running around here anytime soon.” Sunset said, again prompting the girls to giggle.
After a few more minutes of the girls laying back and watching the waves crash on the shoreline, Fluttershy got up from her chair.
“Hey, Sunset. Is it alright if I take a walk down the sand?” Fluttershy said.
“Okay, but don’t wander too far.” Sunset said as she kept on looking out to sea and waving towards Fluttershy.
“Thanks!” Fluttershy shouted as she skipped away from Sunset.
For the next several minutes, Fluttershy walked along the shoreline, admiring the sights and sounds of the beach, which included other people playing around.
“Mmmm… I’m glad others agree with me that the scene is perfect.” Fluttershy said. When she turned to look directly ahead of her, however, she saw something that startled her… namely because she almost walked right into it.
“Oh! What’s this?” Fluttershy asked as she slowly approached the circle of rocks with a glowing pool of water in the middle. Fluttershy at first thought the water glowed because of the bright sunlight glistening off the water, but as she moved her head around, it wasn’t because of the sunlight that the water glowed.
“Hmmm? Strange. What kind of rock pool is this? But then again, this is Equestria. Anything can and usually does happen in this world.” Fluttershy said as she leaned in closer and closer, trying to further inspect the water almost like a detective. In doing so, her necklace slipped off and splashed into the pool.
“Oops!” Fluttershy said as she reached into the pool and picked up the necklace as it dripped with the water, along with the water she picked up on her fingers.
As she tried to wipe the water off everything with her hands, even though this was the beach, Fluttershy suddenly had this strange feeling in her head. By the time she shook it off, she felt her swimsuit quickly loosening.
“Huh? What’s going on with my swimsuit?” Fluttershy said as she watched her necklace fall off and land around her feet like a hula hoop. As Fluttershy fought to keep her swimsuit on her, she took notice of the necklace that she was standing within. Such a sight would normally only happen in a fairy tale, unless…
“*gasp!* Oh no! It can’t be!” Fluttershy shouted as she looked down and realized the sand she stood in was getting closer and closer, like she was crouching and yet she wasn’t. Between that, her necklace growing before her eyes, and Fluttershy’s swimsuit getting too big to wear, that’s when it dawned on her!
“Eeeeek! I’m shrinking!” Fluttershy shouted as she frantically looked around for almost no reason at all. Eventually, Fluttershy felt the shrinking stop. Judging by how her swimsuit was slumped to the ground in relation to her size, Fluttershy guessed she was half her normal size. She gasped as she covered her naked body with her swimsuit, hoping nobody was around to see her.
“Oh dear… what do I do? What do I do? What do I do? I don’t want to be small… I want to be my good ol’ normal size.” Fluttershy said.
Shockingly enough, Fluttershy got her wish as she watched the sand now fade away from her, and no longer would her swimsuit be too big. Her body gradually filled up the suit until it was a perfect fit once more. It was as if that shrinking spell never happened, which only puzzled the timidly shy girl even more.
“W-w-what? What was that about? Maybe I imagined the whole thing? The sunlight is pretty strong today.” Fluttershy said. But then a thought occurred to her. She specifically asked to be back to her normal size, and her body did exactly that. Would such thoughtful wishing work in the opposite direction? There was only one way to find out.
“I want to be half size again.” Fluttershy said.
Sure enough, she watched as the sand approached her view as she looked down. She could stand inside her necklace laying in the sand again, and she had to use all her strength to hold her swimsuit up. She was back to half her size.
“I wish to be my normal size.” Fluttershy said. Like clockwork, she watched the sand now fade away from her, and no longer would her swimsuit be too big. Her body gradually filled up the suit until it was a perfect fit once more. After reaching down and picking up her necklace and wrapping it around her neck again, she took one more look at the rock pool and gradually backed away from it.
“I must tell Sunset about this!” Fluttershy said as she ran away from the rock pool and down the sand.
Sunset was laying back in her lounge chair. She was so comfortable, she was imagining a couple boys on both sides of her waving giant feathers at her to keep her cool while Flash Sentry kneeled down in front of her and massaged her feet.
“Mmmmm… keep it going, Flash. You don’t want me shoving these beautiful toes down your throat, do you? Heh heh…” Sunset said.
“Sunset! Sunset!” Fluttershy shouted, snapping Sunset back to reality.
“Huh? What is it, Fluttershy? I was in the middle of the best daydream ever!” Sunset said.
“Really? What was it about?” Fluttershy said.
“Well, it was about me and Flash having… HEY! No way you’re going to sucker me into spilling my secrets again!” Sunset said with a furious look on her face, causing Fluttershy to nervously back away.
“S-s-s-sorry!” Fluttershy said.
“Anyway, what did you want to tell me? It sounded urgent.” Sunset said.
“It does! I was walking along the shoreline when I suddenly saw this rock pool. I got a closer look but ended up dropping my necklace into the water, and so I reached down and dipped my hand into the pool to pick up the necklace. The next thing I knew, I shrunk smaller!” Fluttershy said.
“Oh? Go on…” Sunset said.
“Yeah! And when I wished myself back to normal size, I was able to do exactly that. Oh… and when I wished to be half my normal size… It happened! Wanna see?” Fluttershy said.
“Well, okay then.” Sunset said.
The young lady got up from her chair and stood a couple feet away from Fluttershy while she took a deep breath.
“I wish to be half my normal size again.” Fluttershy said. Sunset lightly gasped as she watched Fluttershy instantly shrink before her eyes. Everything about her except her swimsuit was smaller.
“Fascinating.” Sunset said as she gently approached Fluttershy, watching her fighting to keep her swimsuit up.
“Now I wish to be normal size again.” Fluttershy said as she just as quickly grew back to her normal size.
“Fluttershy, can you show me this rock pool you speak of?” Sunset asked.
“Sure! Let me guess, you want to have the same power I do?” Fluttershy said.
“Well… maybe.” Sunset said as she followed Fluttershy while she jogged down the beach.
The two jogged quite a ways down the beach, trying to find the rock pool. Fluttershy finally reached the end of the trail of footprints she left in the sand… but there was no rock pool to speak of.
“Huh? Where is it?” Fluttershy said as she frantically looked around the sand. She even got down on her knees and spread the sand around, thinking it got buried underneath somehow.
“You sure you didn’t imagine this whole thing, Fluttershy? Maybe it was some wayward magic… especially by Trixie.” Sunset said as she folded her arms.
“No, really! Honest! There really was a rock pool here! Why else would I suddenly have this power to shrink to whatever size I want?” Fluttershy asked.
“Okay, okay, you’re right. I believe you. There has to be an explanation for all of this, especially the disappearing rock pool.” Sunset said.
“Should we tell the others about it?” Fluttershy asked.
“Well… I’m worried about this whole thing spreading like wildfire, and who knows what kind of mischief will happen if knowledge of your shrinking power gets out. I tell you what, why don’t you come home to my apartment tonight and we’ll try to find out more about it?” Sunset asked.
“Okay! I could use a studying partner anyway for the next big exam coming up at Canterlot!” Fluttershy said.
“Ick… don’t remind me.” Sunset said as she rolled her eyes and the two ladies walked away from where the rock pool once laid.
About an hour later, Sunset and Fluttershy would pack up their things and leave the beach, returning to their respective homes. Even later that day, as the sun started to set, Sunset was busy playing online games at her computer until she heard the doorbell go off.
“My study partner is here, everyone. Until next time, game on!” Sunset shouted as she shut off the game and her livestream. She brushed her outfit of snack crumbs as she got up from her chair and then walked towards the front door, opening it up and at first seeing nobody.
“Ummm… hello?” Sunset asked.
“Teehee… down here, Sunset!” Fluttershy shouted. Sunset looked down and saw her friend half her size again with her still normal-sized clothes draped all over her.
“Will you get in here!?” Sunset shouted as she scooted Fluttershy in. Fluttershy closed her eyes and willed herself back to normal size, allowing her clothes to fit perfectly around her. Sunset rolled her eyes as she closed the front door again.
“Fluttershy, are you out of your mind!? What if someone saw you at your shrunken size?” Sunset asked.
“Hey, don’t worry! I only shrunk right after I knocked on the door. Nobody saw me!” Fluttershy said as she set her books down on the couch. Sunset had to quickly remind herself that she once behaved like that, especially in her younger days.
“Fair enough. Sorry I snapped. The upcoming test at Canterlot High is causing no end of stress, and I need all the help I can get.” Sunset said. Fluttershy was well known for her gentle and calming nature. Sunset was sure that her presence would ease the tension that had been building up inside her.
“No problem! Fluttershy to the rescue!” Fluttershy said as the two ladies sat down on the couch and opened their textbooks.
Over the next couple of hours, the two girls were deep in their cooperating studies. Sunset found herself struggling with a particularly complex math problem while Fluttershy seemed to be struggling with a biology concept. They glanced at each other's work, exchanging looks of confusion.
"I can't figure out how to solve this equation." Sunset said, scratching her head. Fluttershy peered over and smiled softly.
"Well, I'm having trouble understanding the life cycles of insects in biology." she said. Sunset grinned.
"How about we help each other out? I'll explain the math to you, and you can help me understand biology!" Sunset said. Fluttershy nodded, relieved to have someone explain the concept to her patiently. As Sunset went through the steps of solving the equation, Fluttershy listened attentively, her worries slowly melting away. She remembered at that moment that studying with a friend wasn't so intimidating after all. Meanwhile, Fluttershy explained the intricacies of the insect life cycle to Sunset, painting vivid pictures with her words. Her calm demeanor and soothing voice made the topic more manageable, and Sunset found herself genuinely interested in the wonders of nature Fluttershy described.
As the evening wore on, they discovered that they were enjoying each other's company. In between study breaks, they shared stories about their lives, dreams, and the challenges they faced. They laughed at silly jokes and bonded over their shared love for animals. Sunset marveled at how Fluttershy's calmness complemented her own fiery spirit. Fluttershy, on the other hand, marveled at Sunset's determination and intelligence. Their contrasting personalities seemed to bring out the best in one another. As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow through the window, Sunset couldn't help but feel grateful. Fluttershy had not only helped her understand difficult subjects, but she had also provided a soothing presence that made their study session a delightful experience.
The girls eventually slumped back on the couch, both wiping the sweat off their foreheads.
“I think that’s enough studying for one night.” Fluttershy said.
“You’re right, and it’s getting kinda late to be out and about. Wanna crash for the night? I don’t mind.” Sunset said.
“Oh, thank you, Sunset! That’s very generous of you. And we can investigate that rock pool too.” Fluttershy said.
“Oh yeah! Thanks for reminding me.” Sunset said as she hopped off her couch, as did Fluttershy. The two went over to the computer and Sunset typed away, hoping to find whatever information she could on that mysterious rock pool and Fluttershy’s new ability to shrink.
Sadly, both girls were coming up empty.
“Ugh… it’s no good. There’s nothing on the internet about that rock pool or the power to shrink.” Sunset said.
“It’s too bad the library is closed by now.” Fluttershy said.
“Yeah. Maybe in the morning we should go there and find something, but I’m not giving up just yet.” Sunset said.
“I admire your tenacity, Sunset. I can see why Twilight sees you as her best friend.” Fluttershy said.
“Heh heh, thanks. Where are you going?” Sunset asked as she watched Fluttershy get up.
“To go change into my pajamas. It’s almost time for bed!” Fluttershy said as she walked out of the room.
A couple minutes later, Fluttershy came out all dressed in her pajamas, which were all green with butterflies designed from top to bottom (to match the butterfly clip in her hair). The only thing not green (aside from her hair and skin) was her purple slippers.
“Okay, Sunset. I’m…” Fluttershy started to say until she looked over at the computer desk… where she saw Sunset’s head slumped on the desk and snoring rather loudly.
“Awwww… poor Sunset. She’s had a busy day.” Fluttershy said as she walked over towards Sunset and helped her get up and walk away from the desk.
“Come on, sleepy head.” Fluttershy said.
“Uggggh… just one more cookie, Twi, pleeeeeease…” Sunset said. Clearly Sunset was in between the real world and whatever she was dreaming, and Fluttershy couldn’t help but giggle over seeing Sunset like this. She gently led Sunset towards the bed, who didn’t hesitate to tuck herself into the bed and fall asleep immediately despite still wearing one of her usual outfits. Fluttershy tucked herself in on the other side of the bed and drifted off to sleep herself.
However, during the middle of the night, Fluttershy woke up after experiencing a dream. She had dreamed of walking around Sunset’s apartment as small as an ant. It fascinated her seeing everything so enormous, like in a fairy tale where the hero climbs a beanstalk and ends up in a world where everything is bigger, especially the worm crawling out of the apple. Although Fluttershy woke up after a normal-sized Sunset walked around and was about to step on her and crush her, the thought of experiencing the world from such a small size intrigued her. Fluttershy looked over at Sunset and saw she was still asleep, and she didn’t have the heart to wake her up and tell her what she was planning.
But as Fluttershy got up from the bed and walked around the apartment, she gave pause to her idea.
“Hmmmm… should I really shrink that small? I can still wish myself back to normal from that height, right?” Fluttershy said, “And then there’s the matter of Sunset. What if she gets up and sleepwalks and doesn’t realize where I am? There’s gotta be somewhere else where I can shrink and walk around and not worry about being stepped on…”
She then looked out one of the windows and lightly gasped. She took note of Sunset’s backyard which was always lit up with a light in order for her to watch out for any potential thieves trying to break into her apartment. And then she remembered something.
“Oh yeah! Sunset keeps a bit of a garden back there. That’ll be a cool place to walk around at such a teeny tiny size.” Fluttershy said with a smile as the thought took over her imagination. That sealed the proverbial deal as she walked towards the door that led to the backyard, opening it slowly so that Sunset wouldn’t be disturbed from the other room.
Fluttershy closed the door and looked around at the garden. It was a treat to look at even at her normal size.
“Wow… I didn’t realize Sunset was into gardening this much! But never mind that… concentrate, Fluttershy.” Fluttershy said as she took a deep breath and clenched her fists.
“I wish to be really, REALLY small! Smaller than even a mouse!” Fluttershy said. She could tell the spell was working because her pajamas were quickly becoming too big for her to wear and overcoming her naked body.
“Oh!” Fluttershy gasped as she watched her pajamas fall over her. Eventually, when she felt her shrinking stop, she slithered her way out of her oversized pajamas and eventually made it outside, seeing the garden stretch out before her eyes, which sparkled over the majestic sight. Fluttershy started to walk towards the ‘entrance’ of the garden, but then stopped and snapped her fingers.
“Oh yeah! I almost forgot!” Fluttershy said as she rushed towards one of the pockets of her gigantic pajamas. She spotted something white sticking out of it and used all her strength to pull the object out, which turned out to be a small piece of tissue paper. Well, when I say small, I mean small to a normal-sized person. It was quite large compared to the diminutive Fluttershy. In fact…
“Hmmm… a little too big. Fortunately, tissue paper is the same strength no matter what size I am.” Fluttershy said as she ripped off a couple small sections of the paper. She wrapped both sections around her private parts, one in front of her chest and the other well below her waist. Fluttershy couldn’t help but giggle over her minimalist clothing, but now it was time to begin her towering garden adventure as she cautiously stepped into the garden, although she took one last look at her gigantic pajamas behind her.
“I gotta work on making my clothes shrink with me.” Fluttershy said.
The once tall blades of grass and towering flowers now stretched before her, colossal in their grandeur. Fluttershy's heart fluttered with excitement as the world transformed around her. As she ventured deeper, the vibrant colors of the blooms surrounded her, pulling her deeper into their mesmerizing embrace. Fluttershy marveled at the intricate patterns on the petals, their velvety touch above her head. The scent of the flowers engulfed her, filling her senses with their sweet fragrance. A shady grove of shrubs and ferns beckoned Fluttershy. She cautiously made her way between their leaves, marveling at their expansive canopy that now resembled towering trees. The world had transformed into a magnificent, untamed forest, and Fluttershy's spirit soared with wonder.
Every step brought Fluttershy closer to the mysteries of this hidden world. She discovered delicate spider webs that glistened like tiny strands of silver, at least until she playfully swatted them apart, noting how delicate they were even at her diminished size. Speaking of diminished size, the chirps of the crickets sounded like loud whistles, forcing her to cover her ears briefly.
“Oh! Those crickets sound more like roosters!” Fluttershy shouted. Moving on, she encountered friendly ladybugs, their tiny black spots twinkling like stars across their vibrant red shells as she petted them on their backs, at least until they flew away.
As the night wore on, Fluttershy's heart burst with joy and gratitude. The world she had known, a world where she was already attuned to nature's whispered secrets, had unfolded into a world of unimaginable enchantment. Time seemed suspended in the delicate balance of this magical garden. Dawn slowly approached, as evident by the fading night sky and the stars that populated it.
“Well, it’s been fun exploring this garden from this perspective, but I suppose I should be heading back inside before…” Fluttershy started to say, until she was interrupted by a loud hissing sound which made her skin tingle. Fluttershy almost didn’t want to see what it was that was making that noise, but finally she worked up the courage to turn around, only to see a towering spider loom above her. To say the beast looked utterly terrifying would be an understatement. Fluttershy looked at her reflection through the spider’s many eyes. She had hoped for peaceful exploration, not a life-or-death encounter with a hungry spider. But as the arachnid inched closer, its fangs literally drooling with anticipation, Fluttershy backed away nervously.
“N-n-n-n-nice friendly neighborhood spider…” Fluttershy said. Finally, the spider let out a noise that sounded more like a monstrous roar to the shrunken girl.
“WAAAAAAH!!!” Fluttershy screamed before turning around and running away as fast as her little legs would take her.
Fluttershy ran and ran, but soon realized, especially as she was running out of breath, that spiders were deeply resilient and weren’t going to give up the hunt so easily. That’s when she realized she had to fight back. With determination, Fluttershy scanned her surroundings, searching for something she could use to defend herself. A glimmer caught her eye – a discarded ribbon, presumably once belonging to Sunset, tangled in the grass. Acting quickly, she snatched it up and, with all her might despite her shrunken size, flung it toward the spider. The ribbon coiled around the spider's legs, tangling them together. Fluttershy seized the opportunity to escape, darting toward safety. But the spider, though hindered, continued to fight, gnashing its fangs in fury. Fluttershy knew she had to find a way to outwit her predator. Drawing inspiration from her surroundings, Fluttershy spotted a nearby flower bud on the verge of opening. She carefully led the spider towards it, racing around it in a strategic dance.
“Nya nya nya nya nya, you can’t catch me, big nasty spider!” Fluttershy shouted as she taunted the spider even though that went against her usual demeanor. As the spider lunged at her, she nimbly shifted directions, causing it to crash into the bud. The sheer force of the impact caused the flower to burst open, drenching the spider in a thick, sticky sap. Trapped within the flower's embrace, the spider struggled.
“Haha, gotcha!” Fluttershy said.
However, Fluttershy underestimated the spider’s resilience once again. The spider broke free and growled again towards Fluttershy.
“Heh heh… my my, you sure are persistent!” Fluttershy said as she turned around to run again. However, the spider was done chasing the little girl and fooling around. He opened his mouth wide and shot a sticky substance that immediately pinned Fluttershy to the ground.
“Ack!” Fluttershy shouted as she fought to break free from the sticky stuff, but it wouldn’t budge, leaving her to look helplessly up as the spider moved its legs towards the shrunken girl and showed off its fangs.
“Waaaah! Someone help meeeeeee!!!” Fluttershy screamed out of desperation, closing her eyes and hoping a miracle would save her from a horrid death inside a spider’s belly.
Luckily for her, that miracle came in the form of a towering light brown object that whacked the spider clean out of sight. Fluttershy, expecting to be gobbled up by the spider by now, opened her eyes and saw she was instead looking up at something far, far bigger than the spider. She couldn’t see who it was that saved her, as the light reflecting off the woman’s back left her as a shadow, and then she watched as the shadow marched away.
That shadow turned out to be the normal-sized Sunset Shimmer, wearing her pajamas just like Fluttershy previously did, who looked down and breathed a sigh of relief as she saw the shrunken Fluttershy safe and sound despite being covered in slimy, sticky spider webbing. And speaking of that spider, Sunset walked over towards where it landed after she gave it a good whack with her broom. The spider was left broken, bruised, and battered with no chance to move around again as it looked up at the towering Sunset.
“This is for trying to eat my friend, you eight-legged creep!” Sunset shouted. She raised her broom up and slammed the bristles down on the spider, crushing it flat and leaving it dead in the ground. For good measure, Sunset gave the dead spider corpse one more whack with her broom, sending it flying completely out of her yard.
Sunset turned her attention back towards Fluttershy, who smiled as she watched Sunset kneel down and peel away the webbing with her fingers.
“Oh, Sunset… thank you for saving me.” Fluttershy said.
“Always a pleasure, but…” Sunset said as she peeled away the last of the web and then carefully picked up Fluttershy (while she made sure her tissue clothing stayed on), cradling her in her hands like a precious doll given she was nearly the size of one. Fluttershy looked kinda timid as she saw a somewhat serious look in Sunset’s eyes all of a sudden.
“You really should be more careful going out alone in a vast world at that size. Next time, have me nearby so I can keep a close eye on you.” Sunset said.
“I understand. I’m sorry, Sunset. I just got too curious, both in how small I could shrink and what your backyard garden would look like from a new perspective.” Fluttershy said. Sunset then smiled.
“Looked nice, didn’t it? All those hours I spent in the gardening club paid off, didn’t it?” Sunset said.
“Teehee… of course!” Fluttershy said.
“Now come on. Let’s get back to sleep. You’re lucky I had to wake up for a bathroom break and saw you missing from the bed.” Sunset said as she walked back inside the house with Fluttershy still in her hands.
Once she made it back inside, she gently set Fluttershy down on the floor, and after briefly looking up at Sunset who towered over her and rather enjoyed that sight, she concentrated on growing back to normal.
“I wish to be my normal size again.” Fluttershy said as she rapidly grew back to her normal size. Of course, this meant the tissue clothing didn’t grow with her and ripped apart, leaving her naked and, out of womanly instinct, covering up her private sections. But luckily, Sunset was there to the rescue as she handed Fluttershy her pajamas that she shrunk out of from outside.
“I think you’ll be needing these.” Sunset said with a sly smile.
“Eh heh… thanks.” Fluttershy said as she changed back into her pajamas. The two ladies eventually walked back to bed and went back to sleep.
The next day, the two girls were back on the beach, once again taking in the warm sunshine and listening to the calming sounds of the beach. Occasionally the two girls would talk about the shrinking fun that Fluttershy had, which got her thinking.
“You know, Sunset, I wonder if I could do the opposite?” Fluttershy asked.
“Well, you kinda already can, being able to wish yourself back to normal size.” Sunset said.
“True, but I’m talking about bigger than my normal size. Y’know, being giant?” Fluttershy said. This raised Sunset’s eyebrows.
“You think you can really do that?” Sunset asked. Fluttershy got up from her chair and clenched her fists.
“I know I can, Sunset! Anything is possible, right?” Fluttershy asked.
“Oh, of course. Twilight made sure to drill that into my head, but…” Sunset said as she got up from her chair as well.
“But what?” Fluttershy asked.
“Aren’t you worried about your clothes ripping apart, especially that cool swimsuit of yours? Not to mention there isn’t much privacy when you’re, like, 50 feet tall or something.” Sunset said.
“I’ve been thinking all night about the spell, Sunset. I almost couldn’t sleep because of it. I think I’ve got it nailed down this time. I can make sure my clothes are affected along with my body.” Fluttershy said.
“Alright, knock yourself out.” Sunset said, which made Fluttershy raise her eyebrows, forcing the young lady to clarify, “It’s an expression.”
“Ah, got it.” Fluttershy said as she took a couple steps away from Sunset.
That’s when she took a deep breath and put her thoughts to work, imagining herself standing proudly over the beach and this time with her swimsuit intact.
“I wish to be bigger… 50 feet tall, to be precise!” Fluttershy shouted. Like with the shrinking, her wish was granted, although her growth spurt was taking its sweet time, allowing Fluttershy to savor the moment and watch as the sand faded away and her feet took up more and more of the sand.
“It’s working! Look, Sunset, I’m growing!” Fluttershy shouted.
“And your swimsuit is intact!” Sunset shouted excitedly.
“Wheeeee! My swimsuit is growing with me! This is gonna be the best…” Fluttershy started to say.
However, she then heard a ripping sound, which made her gasp and look down at her midriff as she saw that part of her swimsuit reduced to threads.
“Waaaaah! It’s not working!” Fluttershy shouted as she covered her chest thinking that would be the next to go. But a few seconds later, Fluttershy stopped growing as she had reached the size she dreamed of. Only the middle section of her once one-piece swimsuit was gone. Her chest and other private section were still concealed by the rest of her bikini, which had effectively changed into two pieces. Nevertheless, Fluttershy covered her midriff as she looked down at Sunset standing near her bare feet.
“Hey, you almost had it!” Sunset said.
“I… I forgot how powerful a growth spell could be.” Fluttershy said.
“Awwww… come on, Fluttershy. You still look great, hahahaha!” Sunset said.
“Sunset! That’s not funny!” Fluttershy said.
“Sorry, I’m trying not to laugh, but it’s just too funny seeing you so big and yet so modest! Hahahaha!” Sunset said as she tried but utterly failed to keep her laughter in.
This annoyed Fluttershy to no end, and instantly she remembered how big she now was as she raised her foot up.
“Do you find this funny, Sunset!?” Fluttershy said with a now angry look on her face as she dangled her foot above Sunset, who looked up as the foot blocked out the sun and sand rained from beneath the sole.
“Yikes!” Sunset said as she darted towards the other direction, just avoiding being stepped on. Fluttershy smiled as she watched Sunset run away, and then she gave chase.
“That’s right, little Sunset. Run away before I squash you like a spider!” Fluttershy said in a very much faux evil voice.
“Awwww… come on, Fluttershy! I was only kidding!” Sunset said as she kept running down the beach while the 50-foot-tall Fluttershy pursued her from behind. Obviously, at the size Fluttershy was at, she was gaining a lot of attention from the other beachgoers, but Fluttershy didn’t care. Perhaps more than the times yesterday when she shrunk, including in Sunset’s backyard garden, Fluttershy felt this was the most fun she had ever had in her life, and already was excitedly thinking about what other adventures she could have using her new power, whether she was big or small…
