Every September 18 and 19 in Chile, the "Fiestas Patrias" are celebrated, an event that commemorates National Independence and celebrates all the glories of the Army. Croc and Bert celebrate by raising the flag and wearing the typical hats.

Ironically, during the 1960's, there were student radicals who wore Uncle Sam hats as a form of mockery. No longer the case now of course.
