I had read about the Tarot Nouveau and its distinctive atout design while hammering out my pony pattern (English, 52-card) playing cards, and decided to try my hoof drawing equivalents in the larger 78-card deck. With the corner indices overlapping pips in the normal suits and no obvious border which I could safely draw over, I dropped most of the self-imposed restrictions on the English deck; usual suit colours and my prevailing vector style were restored, while character relations now span ranks.
