"Welcome to Do or Drown, the only game show that leaves contestants soaked both inside and out! Those of you joining us for the first time, here's how the show works." The view changes to a cartoonish animation with an anthro fox sitting on the edge of a water-filled hole. They inhale deeply and drop into the water, beginning to swim through a transparent tube. "Each contestant has to swim through a long path of flooded tubes, all on just one dive. There's a few different paths they'll be able to take, but which one they go down isn't up to them; those of you in the studio audience get to vote on it!" The camera quickly pans ahead of the fox, showing an intersection, the 2 possible routes labeled 1 and 2. "Each of you has a small panel in front of you, and the two buttons on it will let you vote on which path the contestant must take, with the others being blocked off. Each has a different set of obstacles for them to overcome, and while THEY won't know what's ahead, you all will. Remember to vote quickly; your chance to do so will end shortly BEFORE they reach the intersection." The tube labeled 1 lights up, and a mechanism blocks the other one. Shortly after, the fox comes back on screen, and swims into tube 1.
"Now, you may have noticed that I said they have to go all the way through on one DIVE, not one breath. Well..." The fox's face begins to turn blue, and their mouth opens wide, several pale lines moving into it to signify they're inhaling. "You don't pass out after just one breath of water, do you? Continuing on while drowning is perfectly fine, but once they can't move any more, they're disqualified from the big prize and hauled out." The fox's eyes close and they sink to the bottom of the tube, a robotic arm then coming from offscreen and pulling them back where it came from. "If they got far enough, they may still get a consolation prize!"
The animation ends, and the host is visible again. "With all that out of the way, let's get to our first contestant of today's episode: This handsome lizard, boasting a breath holding record of 14 minutes!" A confident-looking greenish-blue anthro lizard stands at the entrance to the tube system and waves to the camera. A timer begins to count down from 10, and the lizard repeatedly takes deep breaths to prepare himself, diving underwater just before the timer reaches 0. A hatch is pulled shut over the entrance, but the lizard pays it no mind, swimming off through the tubes as the camera follows him.
"Off he goes! Will he make it all the way through, or will he end up as flooded as those tubes?"
Well, being able to manage a breath hold as long as this guy leads to a good amount of drowning endurance. He's got a better chance than most at winning this, as long as the audience isn't feeling too mean.

The lizard is a bit nervous as well, not really having expected to need to hold his breath so long. Soon, he and the riolu reach a much more narrow section of tubing, still wide enough they'll fit inside but not enough that they'll be able to swim in it.

While it's slow going, getting through the tube, the lizard and riolu do get through it after about 30 seconds. Once the lizard's through, he helps the riolu by pulling them the rest of the way, and he hugs them again. By this point though, his face is fully red from strain.
