Normally I'd agree with you but in this case more stilted language and lack of conjugations is pretty much a staple for android/robotic characters. Maybe I'm just old and still remember when computer generated voices buzzed so bad that conjugations were nai unintelligible.

It is so incredibly precious to be rereading this chapter and notice how immediately Lazarus clings to Randolph. Look at that little paw on his back! <3 <3 <3 Did not spot that my first time through, and knowing now how the two know each other makes it extra cute. ;w;
Of course, it seems perfectly natural how protective Randolph immediately is of Laz on the next few pages, since he's in Civil Protection, but that's still adorable too. I wonder if it made him happy to have an adult looking after him like that, even if he's technically indestructible...
