Gus, the aging thespian cat who reflects on glory days, and his famous role as Growltiger, the pirate cat.

I'm not a huge Don Bluth fan, but his movies are full of grand, theatrical gestures, so he would have been perfect for a cat actor, and the show-within-a-show of Growltiger's Last Stand. The 'yellow peril' aspect of the story hasn't aged well, but since it's done in mock-opera style, it would be a perfect opportunity to poke some gentle fun at 'Phantom of the Opera.'
