For KRAM this month I did a remake / tribute of the famous Krystal pinup render that Rare put out prior to the release of Star Fox Adventures. I remember first seeing it in an issue of Nintendo Power 20 some odd years ago. A lot of boys became men when that issue came out!
When I did the Krystal meet and greet pic, I did a fairly quick digital painting that appeared on the posted that Jake was getting signed. I really wanted to do a more finished version that I could post separately. It took me a long time to get around to it and I actually ended up more or less redoing the whole thing at some point because I wasn't satisfied with how it was turning out. I'm really happy with how the final piece turned out and I got to do some experimentation with changing up my style a little bit. I have quite a lot of nostalgia for this pose, and I hope you all enjoy my spin on it now that you can see the full image as I imagined it.
The composition of this artwork look great and the colors fits well in the art and the character itself is adorable too. Also i have a question for you

I use Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop. I love drawing tigers, foxes, wolves, snow leopards and others. I first heard about Star Fox when I saw a commercial for the original SNES game when I was a kid. My favorite Star Fox character is Krystal!
