She's adorable. Can see why taking photos of her spending time relaxing (and thus him spending time with her) is the best part of his vacation. Seems like what she touches becomes 'invisible' to the naked eye (no visible water displacement). Might be better than the alternative, either having to craft invisible items, or forgo clothing entirely. Since she can obviously move stuff, I wonder if he could feel her hugging him?

Technically, she doesn't physically exist, or is able to interact with the physical world. She basically just exist on the phone (as she is technically a viral application program). However, she is capable of appearing in pictures on the phone. As such, she is able to enjoy them as they are taken. Basically, he is taking the pictures so that she can interact with them and enjoy the vacatio as well.

I always figured that Mal0 the entity and Mal0 the app were two semi-separate anomalous entities, Mal0 existing slightly out of phase with reality (or possibly being wiped from peoples' perception), and the app offering a window to communicate and view her. She can take her own photos independent of the camera, based on where it has been (though photos taken by the phone might be easier to 'work with'), but she has no control of who gets the app. That does imply the existence of multiple Mal0 though, so idk. Unrelated, but this got me wondering at the possibility of 'filters' that might come with the Mal0 app.

I'm aware, but did not mention the reflection part as it doesn't seem part of this interpretation. Unless I missed something, she neither appears in any reflections, nor interact with her host through them. It all seems to be by cellphone.
