I think I've decided on them being a Blue Mage, or at least, leaning into that - feels kind of fitting for the hijinxs Cyrus tends to get into.
I have this dilemma of being unsure how serious I want this version of the character to be. I could play into the idea of him being a hapless Blue mage - maybe he never actually learns spells cause he keeps getting downed) - or it could be that he actually has a ton of blue magic because of all the trouble he gets into.
I also like the idea of them chasing down all sorts of forms of magic - Red Mage is my favorite FF job, so I'm tempted to have some of that in there too, and Time Mage is such a fun idea too - makes me think back FFTA where the moogle designs I like come from! It's so hard to pick on idea.
I like the idea of him having a huge repitoire of Blue Magic due to the fact that he is basically a calamity magnet. Though he's missing the really strong stuff like Mighty Guard and Level 5 Death because he can only successfully learn a spell when he's not actively trying to seek it out.
