I finally got around to drawing a full-body pic of my Doofus Lutraca possible alt-sona back in late May, and I'm finally getting around to posting him now, in early August.
----- As expected, he's a fat, dopey, dorky, awkward and adorkable general handyman sort working in some backwater space port in Ayalatan Alliance space.
The background is a photo from one of my nature walks, since I was getting lazy about actually drawing any sort of "spaceport" architecture, but the rules of my universe make it totally acceptable for bland industrial type garages to be part of a spaceport--in fact, many spaceports would just be updated airports and the like, with some modifications to accommodate sci-fi spacecraft (the sort of things that don't need an entire NASA launchpad setup to get in the air, so a fairly basic tarmac or oversized helipad would be more than adequate), so using a photo of a generic industrial building as a stand-in for a generic garage or hangar in some generic backwater spaceport makes quite a bit of sense!
Like a lot of my "potential alternate fursona" types, I really like his design, but don't have a whole lot of ideas what to use him for or things that set him apart from other, more prominent and active fursona characters, but I've mentioned a few times in the past that I treat "fursonas" sorta like characters/accounts in a video game--I have my "mains" and then I have a few "alts" to play when I'm in the mood to do so, and even if they don't stick as a "fursona" they still usually just wind up being a friend-shaped character in-universe with a nice color palette.
(And no, I still haven't decided on boxers, briefs, panties or Pampers, although given how chubby this guy is and how I've yet to draw a Lutraca in anything less than a jumpsuit, I probably need to decide soon so I can draw him wearing nothing but his undergarments and an awkward smile while using "I want to show the fur pattern" as an excuse for doing so!)
