Shadow brought Silver to their work and they agreed that he would pick them up again at 7 after work. Which gave Silver enough time to go to the alley for their cats and be back in time for Shadow to pick them up.

``It's good to see you again Silver, you're looking much better,'' Cosmo said when she greeted Silver, who was already working on the bouquets.

``I feel much better, last week was just a rollercoaster, but everything is good now,'' Silver said with a smile.

``It's good to have you back,'' Cosmo said with a smile. ``Could you maybe help me unload the truck? I just came back from the wholesale with new plants.''

``Yeah of course,'' Silver laid down the bouquet they were working on and walked to the truck with Cosmo. She opened the back and started unloading. ``Wow this one is beautiful!'' Silver said holding a plant with oval leaves with red stripes.

``Yeah I know right, it's a Maranta, a tropical plant.''

Silver looked at the price tag and sighed, ``Yikes, it's a quite expensive one isn't it?''

``Yes it is.''

Silver put the Maranta back in the crate and carried it inside and started to put all the plants in the shop. Silver placed the Maranta behind some other plants on a shelf, so it wasn't easily spotted by the customers. Cosmo came in with another crate of plants and started to spread them through the shop as well. She took the Maranta Silver hid and placed it in the front of the shop. Silver watched as she did.

``This one is a real eye-catcher isn't it?'' Cosmo said.

``Yeah it sure is,'' Silver replied feeling a little upset about the new placement, now every costumer coming in could see it immediately.

They opened the shop and it was already pretty busy. Silver helped all the customers and often looked at the red striped plant. Many customers noticed it and lifted it to get a closer look but when they saw the price tag they put it down again. `Good, just put it back,' Silver thought every time it happened.

It was almost the end of the day and Silver's eyes moved back to the plant, their eyes widened, `Where did it go!' they quickly looked around and spotted a woman walking through the shop with the plant. `Oh no,' Silver thought upset. She walked through the shop looking around at the other plants.

A man came into the shop and walked over to her, ``I should have known you were here,'' He said and looked at the plant in her hand. ``You're not going to buy another plant right? You already have enough plants.''

``You can never have enough plants,'' she commented back.

He looked at the price tag, ``You can't be serious! I thought we were saving money for a new couch?''

``But look at it,'' She said and held the plant in front of his face, ``It's so beautiful!''

``Yeah but they will probably have this plant more often. You don't have to buy a plant immediately when you see it.''

She sighed disappointed, ``Well, alright then,'' She said and put the plant back while mumbling, ``Stupid couch.''

Silver sighed relieved and looked at the time, `Okay only 15 more minutes to go.' They already started to sweep the floor as their were no more customers inside and put all the flowers back inside when it was 6 O'clock.

``Thank you so much for today,'' Cosmo said and gave Silver's envelope.

They took out half the money and gave it back to Cosmo, ``I want to buy the Maranta from you.'' They said.

Cosmo didn't except the money, ``You don't have to pay for it,'' she said.

``But it's so expensive, I can't just take it,'' they said a little confused.

Cosmo took the plant and gave it too Silver, ``I want to give it to you,'' she said with a smile, ``You really are a good and honest worker, please let me do this for you in return.''

``Are you sure?'' they asked.

``I wouldn't have offered it, if I wasn't,'' she said.

Silver smiled bright, ``That's so sweet! Thank you so much Cosmo.''

Together they closed the shop and said, ``See you tomorrow,'' before leaving. Silver walked to the alley holding the Maranta close in one hand and the bag with the cat food in the other. ``Am I glad to see you all again!'' Silver said happily as the cats greeted them, they all ran over even the younger cats and they meowed and bumped their heads against Silver. ``You all must be hungry.''

They sat the plant on the mattress and took out two cans of cat food. ``Here you go,'' they said and gave the cats their food. Silver put away the other cans behind the brick and watched as they were all eating. ``I have really missed you all,'' they said and stroked them. ``It really is a weird time. Me having a boyfriend. I really wish you could meet him, he is so sweet.''

Silver pulled the vest they got from Shadow from behind the brick and put it on. It's really starting to get colder.

Silver stayed a while playing with the cats. After half an hour Silver's phone vibrated. They took out the phone and looked at the screen. `Will be leaving soon to pick you up.'

Silver smiled and stood up, ``I'm so sorry but I have to go,'' they apologised to their cats, ``But I'll be back tomorrow,'' they said and stroked them all one more time before leaving with their plant.

Silver stood in front of the shop waiting for Shadow to arrive, while admiring the plant. They looked up as they heard the roaring of Shadow's motorcycle and he stopped in front of Silver, who quickly came over.

``Hey there,'' Shadow said and took his cigarette out of his mouth to give Silver a kiss. ``How was your day at work?'' He asked.

``All good,'' They replied, ``I have something for you,'' Silver said and held out the plant. Shadow looked surprised and took the plant.

``Wow! That's so sweet,'' Shadow said and looked at the leaves, ``This really is a beauty, but you shouldn't have, I know money is tight for you.''

``I just really wanted to, but Cosmo gave it to me for my hard work,'' Silver said with a smile.

``That's very nice of her, it looks really beautiful.''

``It's called a Maranta, it reminded me of you, because of the red stripes,'' Silver said while pointing at the leaves.

Shadow pulled Silver closer, ``Aren't you the cutest,'' he said and kissed Silver's lips who blushed.

``Oh stop it, you,'' They said shyly.

``Come on, let's go home. I have already made some soup for dinner.''

``Oeh I'm really longing for a warm bowl of soup.''

________________________

Silver rubbed their hands together to heat them up a little when they got back into Shadow's bedroom.

``Are you that cold?'' Shadow asked as they saw Silver shiver a little. They nodded, ``Come here,'' Shadow took Silver's hands and breathed on them while rubbing them together. Silver blushed as he did, but it felt nice as they started to feel their fingers again. ``Better?'' he asked.

Silver nodded, ``Thank you.''

Shadow heated up the soup on the stove and took the plant they got from Silver and walked around his room looking for a good spot to place it. Finally he placed it on the windowsill and looked at it, ``It's a very beautiful plant, I really like it.'' he said.

Silver smiled, ``I'm glad you like it.''

Shadow came over and pulled Silver into a hug, ``But I like you more,'' he said and booped their nose.

Silver chuckled. ``Do you remember what you said to me last night? When we went to bed.''

Shadow looked confused, ``What are you talking about?''

Silver suppressed a smiled, ``Ow it was nothing.''

``No really, what did I say?''

Silver started to blush and looked up at Shadow, ``You said `Love you'.''

``Did I now?'' Shadow said a little flustered. Silver nodded shyly. ``Then it must be true,'' he said and looked into Silver's golden eyes, who smiled bright. Shadow leaned in and touched Silver's lips with his but pulled back, ``Did you say anything back to me?'' he asked.

Silver smiled shyly and nodded, ``Love you too.'' Shadow pressed his lips against theirs. Silver felt a heat which spread from their lips throughout their whole body and Shadow pulled them close against his and licked their lips. Softly their tongues touched.

Shadow quickly pulled away as the lid of the pan started to clatter from the boiling soup. ``Whoops!'' Shadow said and quickly turned off the fire underneath the pan and looked inside. ``Luckily it didn't boil too long. Shadow took two bowls and filled them. Carefully he walked over to the table, making sure not to spill anything.

Silver sat down on the floor near the table, ``It smells good! What soup did you make?''

``I've made a tomato soup with peppers and vermicelli. Have you ever had it before?''

Silver nodded, ``I often eat soup from a can,'' they replied.

``Haven't you ever had fresh soup before?''

Silver shook their head, ``Not that I remember.''

``Fresh tastes so much better than can food,'' Shadow said. ``Just try it,'' he urged as he passed a spoon.

Silver took the spoon from him and scooped up some of the soup and put it in their mouth. Tears filled their eyes and they coughed after swallowing the liquid.

``What's wrong?''

``I-it's h-hot,'' Silver said and stuck out their burned tongue. ``I-I burned my t-tongue.''

``Of course it's hot you should blow on it first, silly,'' Shadow came over. ``Here,'' he said and suddenly started to kiss Silver, who started to blush as they felt Shadow's tongue touching theirs. Silver was completely surprised. Shadow pulled away, ``Better?''

Silver looked at Shadow feeling startled but the burning feeling had disappeared, ``A-actually y-yeah, but..''

Shadow smirked, ``Didn't you know saliva had healing abilities?''

``N-No, not really,'' Silver said confused.

Shadow laughed, ``Who would have thought I would be the one teaching you something.''

Silver chuckled.

``Now be careful, just let the soup cool down for a bit or I will have to do that again.'' Shadow threatened.

``I don't mind you kissing me like that,'' Silver said with a shy smile.

``Well you don't have to burn your tongue every time for me to kiss you like that,'' he said with a smirk.

____________________________

They finished their soup without burning their tongue again. ``The soup was really nice,'' Silver said.

``I'm glad you liked it,'' Shadow took the empty bowls and started to put the leftover soup into some tupperware containers.

``Why did you make so much?'' Silver asked as they looked into the pan.

``I always make some extra to put in the freezer, so when I don't have time to cook during the week, I still have something left in the freezer.''

``Good idea!'' Silver said, ``Only I don't have a freezer at home. I always buy can food because they last long and it's much cheaper.''

``Good thing you're with me now, I'll make sure you eat better food.''

``Thank you, Shadow, you're just too good for me,'' Silver said, ``Shall I make some nacho's? As a thank you.''

``I would really like to try some of your nacho's,'' Shadow said. ``Can I help?''

``No you have done enough for me, I want to make them for you. You can just do something else,'' Silver turned on the oven to let it heat up.

``Okay,'' Shadow said while shrugging his shoulders, he took his guitar and sat on the bed with his back against the headboard. He looked over at Silver and started to play a melody. Shadow saw Silver's ears perk up, so he knew that they was listening.

``I can't get enough of you baby

I can't get enough of you baby''

Silver looked over their shoulder at Shadow. Shadow looked back and smiled.

``Yes it's true,

Baby yes it's true''

Silver blushed and smiled shyly, they turned back to the counter to collect everything to make the nacho's.

``Whenever we kiss I get a feeling like this,

I get to wishin' that there was two of you''

Silver moved a little while Shadow kept on singing and playing. They bent over to look for an oven dish in the cupboard below. Shadow leaned to the right to get a look at Silver's behind.

``My heart cries out more baby,

......''

Silver opened the cupboard more to the left and Shadow leaned more to the right, still playing but too distracted to keep on singing. Silver moved more to the left and Shadow to the right. He lost his balance and fell from the bed, Silver quickly turned to see what had happened and suppressed a laughter when seeing Shadow dropped to the floor still holding his guitar with his legs still on the bed.

``What are you doing?'' Silver asked curious as they came over.

Shadow had a slight colour in his cheeks, ``I just wanted to lay like this,'' he lied and continued playing.

``It looks really uncomfortable,'' Silver said with a puzzled look.

``Not at all, you should try it sometime.''

``Probably not, by the way, where do you keep your oven dish?''

``Upper cupboard to the right,'' Shadow instructed as he kept on playing and looked how Silver turned around and walked back to the kitchen. Shadow just stared at their cute behind as they walked away and opened the upper cupboard. Shadow bit his lip as Silver tried to reach for the dish and their shirt lifted.

``Can you help me, I can't reach it?'' Silver asked.

``Hmmm,'' Shadow responded not really listening.

``Shadow can you help me?'' they repeated. Silver turned around and saw Shadow's eyes quickly move up at them. ``Seriously?'' Silver said with their hands to their hips.

``What?''

``I know you were looking at my ass,'' Silver said.

``I was not.''

``So what did I ask?''

``Hmm what?''

Silver rolled their eyes, ``Can you help me, I can't reach it,'' they repeated and pointed at the dish.

Shadow stood up to help Silver. ``Here you go,'' he passed the dish and ruffled their quills, ``You're so tiny.''

``Ow stop it,'' Silver said a little annoyed.

``And you are so cute when you are angry.''

Silver rolled their eyes.
