I've never read even one panel of a true manga and I spent 26 months in Japan back when America was first discovering manga and anime. I'm surprised you didn't ask how I knew you watched anime. The answer is the look you gave Sunshine in the 7th panel. I don't know for sure what that sign means but, I know it's almost always used as an insult.

I knew that panel was a give away. >3 Pulling the bottom eyelid (called akanbe in Japan) is usually a taunt or hint at sarcasm. In Europe, it is a warning (look out).
