When big fish are chasing little fish, the little fish sometimes swim up to the surface, or even leap into the air in their frantic efforts to escape.  Sometimes that trick works; sometimes it doesn’t.  Sometimes a little fish escapes the savage jaws below only to be snatched away in the greedy beak of a quick-winged seabird.  Word gets around and on a clear day, feeding seabirds can form large aggregations visible from over 20 miles away.  These are the birds the Dancing Bear altered course to investigate.  Looks like that little course change paid off well!  For the otters.

Could be worse.  It might be a good idea for Ichor to keep his distance when Sushi attempts his next transformation practice.

But imagine all the fun Sushi could have by turning into a hellhound? Or a human? There are plenty of examples of different shapes he could potentially learn and maybe with practice he could have more creative freedom in what or who he transform into.
