There's certain things you're used to in life. Whether it's the sun setting after a long day, or the inevitability of winter, some things we've come to expect in life.
And it's moments like that make me realize how many things we've come to know as 'routine' that, in reality, simply aren't. Simple things like, your car starting in the morning, or your favorite cereal always being in stock. We really take for granted how many things we're used to and never expect to go away.
And right now, as I watch the fireworks at our favorite Spot, it really hits me. Every year, we used to come up here to watch the fireworks. I've come to anticipate it. To get excited for it each year.
To expect it.
This is my first Fourth of July without you. Yeah, I know Christmas and that already passed... but the Fourth was always a holiday I spent with just you. I always looked forward to just sitting here and wasting the night away by your side. Just our little thing. How I miss it now. So much.
So, so much.
Happy Fourth of July 🇺🇸
