Something stupid about these adorable idiots :'D (God, I love Rise boys so much! <3) But this is all for now. Gonna hit the bed and go for shopping tomorrow ~ Night!
Well, I wasn't all that good about hygiene myself as a teenage girl :'D I used deodorant, sure, but I didn't bath daily (that's not a thing in Finland. In my family we bathed in sauna once or twice a week). I never washed my teeth (it was not taught to me ever), I used same clothes for a week because I lacked of clothes and we were not financially capable of getting me new ones. Except at times from second hand shops. So yeah :'D I rarely washed my hands even that I used to do all kind of things with my bare hands at home (horses, dirt, etc). but thanks to THAT I've very good immune system! I'm very rarely sick :D

The American obsession with washing and sterility is entirely driven by the soap companies. They've been at it hard and steady since the 1950s. For decades advertising is unavoidable, that drives home the insistence that allowing even the first micro-organism to live will trigger the Plague and nothing less. It's absurd, actually.

Luckily we don't have it THAT bad here. We do have soap and shower gel commercials and lots of different products but I don't think people are too obsessed about washing themselves. Of course it also depends on the person how much / easily they sweat during the day etc. (but fresh sweat, normally, doesn't smell. Old one does).
What people, however, like to do here is to keep their homes way too clean (no dust, animal hairs, dirt, nothing). One of my cousins always keeps her home SUPER CLEAN and sterilized (hopefully right word), constantly cleaning, that it has caused her daughter to not have strong immunity system. She's CONSTANTLY sick, constantly having urinary infections etc. because she never haven't got those good germs from home in her body to strength her immunity system. Too clean home does HARM, not good. Little mess, dust etc. is normal, good and healthy.

*chuckles* My joke about my mom's housecleaning habits is that she never kept a clean house. She kept a clean furniture catalog. I am not nearly as tidy and I also have a years-long run of not getting sick --- except for some stomach bugs because of bad restaurant cooking but that's not my fault.

We had no all that clean house either :'D Plus mom hoarded stuff more or less, still does in a way (like curtains or cute decorations). Oh, that's good! I get stomach germs at times but it's simply because of bad stomach genes from both parents (at times I can eat thing X but then in the next day I get horrible diarrhea from it!). It's always a little gamble, so to say :'D

That's true! Luckily Raphael can be quite gentle (tho, I think, as a child, he accidentally may have chomp on Leo's hand in similar occasions). I am glad to hear that :3
