Tina sighed some as she walked up to her bed and sat on down on the side of it as Violet walked up.
"Something wrong?" Violet asked
"No, just a long day is all" Tina simply replied
"Are you sure?" Violet asked concerned, "You can tell me anything you know"
"I know, it's nothing really" Tina replied trying to hide something
"I only ask, since I notice you having some trouble sleeping some nights" Violet commented
"You...watch me sleep?" Tina replied looking over at the vixen
"Not in a creepy way I assure you, more of a can't help but notice sort of way" Violet began to explain
"What do you mean?" Tina asked confused
"Well there are nights we spend together that you tend to fall asleep before I do. There have been a couple times that I have noticed that you seem to have a restless dream or something" Violet answered
"Just some bad dreams is all" Tina answered
"Care to share?" Violet asked
"They aren't anything big, just some random dreams nothing serious" Tina replied obviously lying
"Well...as long as you are sure" Violet replied deciding to not chase the matter any further, "Do you want me to change you into a diaper before I go?" She asks
Tina just blushed some deeply, "I...can change myself" Tina answered defensively
"I know, but isn't it easier with someone to help do it for you?" Violet asked
"Well...yes it is" Tina replied
"Then why so embarrassed about it? Not like I haven't put your scaley butt in a diaper before" Violet teased
"I dunno" Was all Tina could say
"Then no need for you to be all blushy then" Violet replied helping her friend into bed, "Besides you have been working too hard to be doing stuff like changing yourself,so get your crinkly tush in bed and get some well deserved rest"
"I'll try" Tina said covering up, before she was handed a plush toy of ember the dragon
"Sleep tight" Violet replied as she turned off the lights and left the room
Tina laid down and shut her eyes as she began to drift off to sleep, as the darkness that covered her vision was soon replaced by a dream.
Tina was curled up surrounded by silhouettes of dragon kids as they laughed and pointed at her.
"Little tiny Tina can't even fly!" shouted one voice
"Can't even breathe smoke, all of could breathe fire when we hatched!" yelled out a group of voices
Tina just sniffled trying to fight back tears as she tried to ignore them, always wondering why she had to be the runt amongst the others.
"SILENCE!" Bellowed a loud strong voice
Immediately the kids stopped and lowered their heads and broke up leaving Tina be. Looking up she saw a the towering form of of her villages ruler who began to comfort her.
"Try not to let them get to you dear child" the dragon said soothingly
Tina just sniffled and sat on up, wiping her eyes.
"But they're right, I can't do anything the other dragons can do....maybe i'm not" Tina began to reply before being cut off
"I want no such talk from you! You are a dragon and you always will be, but you are your own, you might not have the same abilities and traits as the others but that doesn't change the fact that you are one of us, and always will be" He spoke "The time will come when you will one day realize what you can do, and once you do, you and all the others will see how special you are"
"But...how can you be so sure?" She asked
"My dear child, do you think I was born strong? No, I was much like you, I was a late bloomer, I couldn't take flight till I was a teen, and I tried so hard to breathe fire but it turns out that the reason I could not was because I had ice breath" He replied
"Really?" she asked as she had dried and wiped her tears away
"Yes, you will find what abilities you were born with in time, and once you do, you can be great just like anyone else can be, and never let anyone tell you otherwise, and if they give you anymore trouble just come to me any time, you are always welcome in my quarters" He spoke calmly to her
She nodded her head and began to cheer up some and gave his leg a big hug, as he placed a hand gently on her back to give a comforting hug in return.
Tina tossed and turned in bed, her diaper crinkling a storm, as she kicked her legs about, knocking the bedsheets about, clutching her plush friend tightly against her. Tina looked as if she was having a rough nights sleep, as Violet walked in hearing the commotion and saw she was still asleep, only being able to wonder what could possibly be troubling her dreams so badly.
Tina's dream continued on as the village was soon invaded by large burly Rhino looking hunters, wielding armor and swords specially made to fight against them. The adults in the village were bound down by nets and traps leaving them all vulnerable.
"Take the eggs, they will sell for a handsome profit" The leader commanded "If anyone gets in the way, then they will make for fine trophies for our collection"
Tina just watched shocked and terrified as she was paralyzed with fear, but soon stood up as one of the grunts approached one of the kids trying to protect their unhatched sibling. Without thinking, she soon found herself rushing at the grunt gaining speed with each step looking more and more like a blur before leaping up into the air and punching the attacker in the side with all her might. She expected herself to not even make a scratch but instead saw the rhino fly off, crashing into a wall, rendering him unconscious.
"What was that!?" The leader yelled in confusion, "What are you waiting for you idiots, go check in on that fool already, he better not of dropped one of the eggs!"
The grunts stopped what they were doing before running off to the source of the crash and found their teammate stuck in a wall, not moving, and then gazed at Tina who stood there trying to figure out what had happened.
"You runt! You will pay for what you did!" Yelled one of the attackers
They charged at her, sword drawn readying to slash. Tina turned around and braced for the worst, only to find shard of steel raining down around her, as the hunter stared in disbelief as the sword shattered upon striking her.
"Wh-what are you!?" He shouted questioningly, dropping the useless blade
Tina had no idea what was going but looked at her fists and growled. She didn't want to ask how anymore but accepted it, and charged hoping to pull off her punch again, and readying to strike the invader with all her might. She put everything she could behind her attack and saw the hunter crash into the others behind him slamming them into the ground, pinning the others under his massive weight.
"What is with you buffoons all you had to do was..." the leader said beratingly before seeing them all subdued with Tina staring them down. The leader just stared some with a look of confusion before chuckling and bursting out in laughter, "Now that's a good one, you expect me to believe a shrimp like you beat up my men? Fat chance, now tell me who actually did this, where are the adults doing the real fighting?" He asked
"Your looking at the one who beat your guys up" Tina replied trying to stay calm as she is still figuring out how she is even doing any of this "Some come at me if you dare!"
"Such big talk for such a little dragon, very well if you want to be a trophy on my wall so bad, then who am I to say no?" He replies stomping up
Tina rushed at him and jumped at him pulling her fist back as if to punch, but then tried to fake him out as he raised his shield to block. Unlike her previous attacks her kick had no effect and left her hitting the ground with a thud as she clutched her leg in pain having bruised it against the leaders shield.
"Oh wow, that was s pathetic, did you really think you were going to stop me with that wimpy kick?" He bellowed out in laughter
Tina just stared up at him in fear not knowing what happened, thinking that maybe she could only punch to attack. Getting up and hobbling to him she hit his shield with her fists but was doing nothing like before as she only succeeded in making him laugh even harder.
"I... I don't get it.... why isn't this working?" Tina asked herself
"Well I have enjoyed the laugh but this ends now" He spoke raising his blade
As it came down, she blocked reflexively shutting her eyes, and like before , the sword shattered into shards, against her.
"What are you?" The hunter asked as he pulled out a more solid club
Tina looked seeing she had survived another sword strike, as she still tried to make sense of how this was even possible. Seeing the shadow of the club loom over over her, she rolled out of the way and got to her feet, expecting her leg to be sore to stand on but felt nothing as she got up and ran. Looking down she saw it was indeed still bruised but not sore, with no rhyme or reason as to why. The rhino growled angrily and came to charge once more before being pinned down by the village leader.
"Stand down!" The elder dragon roared in anger, before looking at Tina, "Are you all right?" He asked
"I.... I will be..." she replied stunned by what had happened
"None one is seriously hurt and none of the eggs are missing, the kids are saying that Tina had beat these guys up well except for the one under your foot" One of the other adult guards replied landing next to the elder
"Is this true Tina?" The elder asked
"I... I uhh..." Tina stammered fearfully
"Tina all I am asking is if this is true or not" He said calmly to not make her think she was in trouble
"Y-yes" Tina replied "But I don't know how I did it"
"Hrmm.... meet with me after we get our visitors detained.... I have a theory...." the elder replied
Tina soon bolted awake and flung herself forward in bed and began looking around in a cold sweat, breathing hard. Seeing she was in her room at the school she calmed down as her breathing normalized.
"Why....did I have that dream.... I haven't had that dream since I was little.. these memories keep popping up in my dreams and I don't know why" She says to herself quietly, "Maybe I should tell Violet about this and get it off my chest, maybe if I do I can start sleeping better"
She laid her head back down on her pillow and stared up at the ceiling trying to fall back asleep. She shut her eyes and clutched her plush closely and drifted back off to sleep to try and rest up hoping the rest of the night would go better.
