It is not easy to make bubble rings, not even for a half-water dragon. Luckily he has recently met a very kind and talented orca girl willing to help him learn!
Here they are now during a training session - all alone in the wide, warm ocean. They have endless space and time to exercise; at least as long as their lungs are lasting but they are both masters at exploring the depths on just a single breath.
The dragon's result is improving step by step even if his rings and puffs of air are by far not as controlled and smooth like the ones seeping from the orca's head. Nevertheless he seems to become daring already - swimming backwards now into the girl's gentle touch and he also reaches for her, rubbing her smooth, glistening skin. With his sensitive fingers he feels how the fascinating blowhole her kind posses, works, making him wonder whether that is her secret...
Eventually he begins to feel the emptiness within his chest - two or three more attempts, then his air is gone and the surface is still so far away. He doesn't think about that right now though - just enjoying the moment ^.^

Think is about the only drawing I'm somewhat proud of. Finally had found a method of shading shiny skin I'm happy with and the texture on the dragon worked out as well.
Only the bubbles kinda don't look like they should >_<
What do you think?
Tamara, the Orca belongs to a friend who I've sadly not seen in a very long time.
