It has been quite the journey this first chapter of Ánima, both within the pages and behind them, with all the problems and tribulations that arose during its production. It started as two authors, and then I had to keep working alone and inherited an artistic style that I had to learn and, to some extent, re-adapt. Rereading and revising the scripts became a slower process without a second opinion that would allow me to see with more clarity where the weak points in the dialogues and the story were. And of course, in taking this much time the artistic fidelity and the techniques I applied changed throughout the pages, perhaps it is not that noticeable, but you can feel the evolution between the firsts pages and the last pages.
While I adore this story and these characters, unfortunately, I have to approach it as a hobby, which is why it takes me so long to update it. And in this case, I have the small problem that I am still working on the script for the second volume, so I will put Ánima on hiatus until I finish it. This doesn't mean that I'm improvising everything as I go along; I already have decided where the story begins and ends, as well as the key points I want to achieve with character development and else. But I need to connect everything coherently, and that's where I like to put the extra time and care.
For now, there is the possibility that while I'm writing the next chapter, I may release pages of Isea, the other comic that I left on hiatus a long time ago. However, the story of the necromancer and her zombie will always be my priority.
