Welp, it seems help didn't come in time to stop Mal has reached stage 3 of the Silly Putty's attack. He has been completely coated and has been reduced to a null wobbling bean, blissfully lost in a daze as his body continues to expand, occasionally spitting out new silly putties looking to find new hosts to coat. If he is left in this state for too long, eventually he will split into dozens of other putties, while his soul is sent to the undernursery to wait to return to the material plane. Until then he is couldn't be any happier...
So in Mylk, death isn’t a permanent thing. If one meets their end in the plane, they are sent to the undernursery, which is like the underworld. There, the god Nox leads the recently departed to a crib where they can rest, and slowly recover from the trama of whatever killed them. That trama is expelled as negative energy which pools in the undernursery. Once the person has shed this trama (or they are ressurected via magic) they return to the material plane, either at a temple of the god they worship, or where ever the spell was cast. The more tramatic the death, the longer it takes to recover, and repeat deaths can result in longer stays. If a person is deemed too traumatized, then Nox sends them to Cloud Nine (which is like mylk’s version of heaven) for reincarnation instead.
