Previously on Oranges to Grapes...
While the first three are enjoying their first day of school at the Academy, Rosita faces the beginning of her own adventure: she becomes trapped in Grasswither Shrine with a snail of plants named Conner, but they break out and become partners set to search for others like him in three days...

Back at the Academy, the school day was just winding down, and the students were getting ready to have dinner at the cafeteria. (well, some of them, anyway) And, of course, who else was fortunate enough to be sitting at the table together than Camilla, Pico and Balto, each with their own sandwich that they ordered from the kitchen.
However, Camilla was thoroughly chewing her bites because she had something on her mind; namely, how her enrollment into the Academy started. Granted, she was happy that she met three new friends on her first day, but it was unfortunate that one of her old ones couldn't be kept because of how she acted.
Balto, however, took notice and swallowed his bite before asking, "Hi, remember me?"
Camilla looked up and nodded before swallowing her food and answering, "Of course I remember you. You're the one who picked a starter Pokemon with me and him next to you. I even greeted you when we first met back in the center of town... but I guess we never exchanged names, did we? Mine's Camilla."
"I'm Balto, good to see you again," the husky said as he reached across the table and shook the bunny's paw in his.
"And mine's Pico," the lizard chimed in after swallowing his bite. "And I remember the center of town... but I also remember you with someone else, some kinda... cat or something?"
"Caracal, and her name was Rosita," Camilla corrected. "The both of us were neighbors back in Los Platos. I was kind of hoping we would start our years of school here together, but... well, you saw what happened."
"Right, sorry," Pico said.
"Well, the three of us might be minus a fourth," Balto said, "but there's a lot of good things that happened here, too. I mean, I don't know about you two, but not only did I get my first Pokemon, my homeroom teacher was very welcoming to me, and I even made a friend with one of my classmates there."
"Same here," Camilla said.
"So did I," Pico added. "Huh, wonder why they're not here with us? I mean, Rima said she wanted to grab a bite at Every Wich Way in town."
"My new friend Sylvan said the same thing," Camilla said.
"So did Spike!" Balto remarked. "You don't suppose they could already-"
But before the husky could finish his thought, the loudspeakers squeaked to life. "Attention, students, attention, students. Camilla Otore, Pico Hatsuki and Balto Mijuumi, please report to the director's office. Camilla, Pico and Balto, to the director's office, please."
Those words put a pit in each of their stomachs, so the three quickly finished their dinners before getting up from the table. "Thank you for the food..."

Clavell was sitting at his desk, wrapping up a call on his Rotom Phone. As soon as the device flew back into his pocket, a knock was heard on the door. "Yes?"
The door was opened, and Camilla was there in front of Pico and Balto. "You wanted to see us, Director Clavell?"
"Ah, yes, yes. Please come in."
The three entered the room and walked past the lab equipment, up to the desk.
"Now, I imagine that you three are asking why I called you here on your first day of enrollment here," Clavell started. "Well, let me ease your worries by assuring you that it is not for anything bad."
"Oh, good," Camilla sighed in relief, and Pico and Balto followed suit.
"Now," Clavell continued, "the reason I called you three here is to give you something I neglected to when you first enrolled... with the help of an old colleague of mine. Now, watch the screen."
The three's attention was turned towards the flat-screen TV, and Clavell turned it on using his Rotom Phone as a remote control. The screen lit up, and the face of a man with purple hair and hexagonal glasses was shown.
"Camilla Otore, Pico Hatsuki, and Balto Mijuumi," Director Clavell introduced, "say hello to my old business partner, a former teacher of the Foremost World-Renowned Pokemon Academy of Paldea, and creator of the Pokedex application itself... Professor Jacq."
