Character Sheet for Alana Cuarán
Species
Eurasian Lynx/Margay hybrid
Personality
Alana is a peacemaker at heart. She is perfectly willing and able to fight when she feels it's necessary, and she is the professional soldier she was raised to be. However, she prefers to use her talents to protect others when she can, and she is strongly opposed to war for profit.
She often comes across as brash and cocky to people who are meeting her for the first time. As the sole heir to her mother's throne she often finds her sense of duty at odds with her personal desires, and her desire to prove herself to her mother, and she covers her insecurities with bluster. She is a devoted friend to those who get to know her, however, and she is quick to help anyone in need, regardless of species.
She secretly admires the foxes of Viridis, whom her fellow lynxes have fought against ever since they settled on the island. She is certain the two species are able to live together peacefully, and hopes to one day prove this to both factions.
Background/History
Alana is the sole heir to the lynx city of Blackpool on the island of Viridis. She is the daughter of Sabia Cuarán, the Queen of the lynxes and a wandering priest whom her mother had a brief love affair with. To her mother's dismay, she takes after her father and she has embraced his ideals of peace and equality. Still, Alana loves her mother as well, and she is eager to prove herself as Sabia's heir. Though she often disagrees with her mother on how the kingdom should be run, she has promised to remain loyal and she means to keep that promise.
Relatives/Family
Sabia Cuarán, lynx, mother.
Body
Alana is rather small for a lynx, with a tail that is slightly too long, though she has kept the basic overall body shape of her mother's species. Her forearms and lower legs have spots like a lynx's, but her upper legs, upper arm and her body have the stripes of her margay father.
Clothing
She almost always wears the dark blue tunic and black trousers that are the standard uniform for Blackpool soldiers. She often covers this with a pure white cloak as a symbol of her devotion to her father's peculiar faith.
