It does. I feel similarly.. though, to me, it's usually that when there's nothing but sex it becomes mechanical and unappealing. Most artists' most appealing work is preceding tease and entirely non-sexual work. My opinion anyway, I understand that I'm more asexual than most, so the mechanics themselves are always going to be secondary to the emotion behind them, and that's what I'm always looking for.

Hm, I am quite the sexual person, but I do admit I prefer when there's emotion behind it. I can usually only fully enjoy it when all participants inside the pic are sympathetic (in other words, I gotta like them, or at the very least not dislike them) and when they all enjoy it. Though I'd be lying if I said that there are no exceptions when the situation or the characters are especially hot. Best results are invariably cute and sympathetic, though. X3

Definitely agree with your closing note. It's why a lot of porn doesn't click with me, honestly. When there's base arrogance involved and nothing really interesting beyond the sex act. Usually when the artist themselves is an egotist of the worst kind none of their stuff appeals to me; I can see their attitude creeping up in their pictures.
But yeah.. everything that's 'sexy' becomes cuter and better when there's the (playful) exploration of additional emotions and ideas involved.
