I kept meaning to re-do the fourth panel to make it more obvious that they were suddenly standing up on command, but I guess I haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe I'll try to do that soon.
So, our hero finds his mind slowly becoming soft and hazy, which distracts him from his skin becoming a brilliant, shiny gold which unfortunately does not translate into grey scale very well.
