This lovely piece by dreaming-of-art-things features my Lazuli and a friend's Vaporeon, Lazron as a Birthday gift.
Zuli has known this particular Vaporeon for as long as she can remember from her early days as a newly transform-capable Mew and thus likes to spend a lot of time with him, especially on his birthday.
He's seen her 'grow up' from a Litleo into a Pyroar, but was naturally confused when she showed up with the form of a Vaporeon.
After knowing him for so long, she'd figured out how to transform herself into a Vaporeon as well. Of course, to explain the odd situation, she had asked him for a sample of his fin for her mother to use in making a 'transformation potion' that would enable her to 'become' a Vaporeon.
Naturally, he wasn't too convinced about the truth of this claim, at least until she used a sample of the potion that Vyrdania had made to transform her Uncle Toirach unwittingly into a Vaporeon as evidence.
Fortunately, the potion worked as intended and her ploy to convince Lazron also worked and thus he accepted the fact that her mother could indeed make viable potions of transformation.
